We have enough problems in this world,  why should we be bashing the local speedways??  I am a Sunset Fan, and wish the New Owners of Barrie Speedway all the best. It would be nice to see both tracks working hand in hand like they did back in the 70s.  It only shows the ignorance of people bashing tracks !  Maybe they should show their adult hood and learn how to run a track and just maybe they would see a horse of a different colour. All the BEST TO OWNERS OF BOTH SUNSET AND BARRIE.  May  both tracks have a successful season and seasons to come.

excellent post! i don't understand this bashing tracks shit??? i can't wait to race at sunset this year with the great staff, drivers, fans and management! always have a blast when i'm there, i hope both tracks thrive and survive. a little rivalry is always good but this downright bullshit spewwing is wrong.

I'm glad you agree Jim.  I've put it out there for the Sunset guys, hopefully Barrie agrees with myself, and hopefully Sunset people can agree too.

On a side note, I can't wait to see you run at Sunset again!

As a fan I love having the option of two quality racing shows to choose from. I chose Sunset for opening night and the racing was second to none, imho! The next time may well be Barrie and I know I'll have a good time there too! There is plenty of "audience potential" to support both tracks as the 45+ year history of the two should illustrate. Both tracks have and are entering a new era for the sport at this grassroots level and both are banking on a bright future and we should all be really happy about that because we will be allowed to continue to enjoy our hobby, whether as fans in the stands or racers on the track. Congratulations to the management and staff of both speedways!

I agree with you about good racing at both tracks,  lots of cars and fans. It is nice that they are close to each other, can visit each one.
