Tonight we were able to catch the first heat on video from inside the 45 car of Rob Poole. Special thanks to Chris Morrow's team for loaning us the camera mount. Try not to get seasick in the warmup laps. I'll post a hi-light video of the 50 lap feature later on, it was won by Tom Walters.

Dan That in car camera is awsome. Great in car view. Just curious if you can do that with cars in other classes.A different clip each week. I know , a lot of work but as a fan it does't hurt to ask.

I absolutely agree what a different perspective....LOVED IT!!!!!What about THUNDERS lol?
Hey thanks, anything is possible I guess. I've wanted to try this for some time now, and had a few glitches with it in the 2nd heat and the feature. The batteries died on us eventually. Rob can't reach the camera from his seat as he is strapped in, so it basically runs from the time he leaves the pits, until he returns. I'm not sure yet, if the heat generated inside the car affects the battery time or not. I'll run it by the 45 team, as the cool camera mount we used was borrowed from the 11 team of Chris Morrow. It's a nice one, has a rubber damper to help reduce the vibration 🙂
Hey Dan, I could hook you up with a bullet cam (self contained, about the size of a lipstick tube) to mount on the outside somewhere if your recorder takes a composite video input. Always wanted to see something like a mirror cam or bumper cam out there. 🙂
