in hindsight i think the best solution last year would have been to look at each car individually and make safety improvement instructions which have to be followed on a case by case basis. (some would have to do more than others to meet minimum safety requirements) would have taken time and effort but at least the guys and girls could have finished up the year.
remember it was sunset speedway that let the cars out on the track in the first place. If tech had have been given a mandate to make sure there were no death traps out there from the get go it would have been done.
running in reverse was just a way to replace teching suspension on the 4 funs because the resources weren't in place to do a thorough job.
Basically it was a classic case of managing by crisis which happens alot these days....had there been more pro-active management of the division over the last 5 years the division would be alive. its not on Wes alone probably more Glenn on this one, Wes inherited the mess in 4 fun

Joe thanks for that. I did indeed inherit a problem with the four fun. and when I asked them to put in safety options, what happened. we had a few of them doing a rolling protest!
allowing down all the other cars that wanted to race..
Joe you are a great drive with a a lot of good years ahead of you, and I for one would not want to see you or any other driver hurt or maimed on my watch.
Thanks for all who supported me.
Wes
[ I'm just worried about the wreck-fest ministock might become. =/
lol you said it!
maybe everyone stoped complaing because everyone knows in the back of there mind this had to happen?
theres no question the 4-funs were un-safe....I think it was just the matter of with 4-5 races to go...or whatever it was the changes had to be done right then...is what the issue was about.

Thank you for this post, this is how we felt as well. they were a time bomb waiting to go off, and even with only a few races left we could not take any more chances, after the last two accidents they had.
