Major damage for Capirchio and Baker, but Witty and Zardo were able to keep going as their damage was minor.

I heard the information second hand when I asked somebody else what happened because I was watching down in 3 & 4, taking pictures. That was the error in that report. Sorry about that.

why was it a non points night? who wasnt there?

It was something that was discussed dating back to Performance World, actually. It really didn't matter towards who was and who wasn't there. But some chose not to come as they didn't want to portentially wreck their cards without it being for points while others aren't quite ready.

It is actually a good idea to put the points aside for the first night this year with all the practice dates getting rained out.
