The gel is inexpensive, and the gel container is preferably replaced or refilled approximately as often as an oil change is performed.

At first there was a rumour that it was gelled jet fuel. Jet fuel is very close to kerosene/diesel and would not help. Have you ever put diesel in your car by mistake? it doesn't help at all.

If they were to coat the inside runners with this oxygenated gel it would eventually evaporate and not leave anything behind for Tech to find.
