• Eight-time Winner Can’t Be Counted Out
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 24, 2008) – Though the task seems daunting, Kyle Busch can still claw his way back into the championship hunt.
Busch, who has eight wins this season, is 12th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings, 210 points out of first. Still, there’s hope – plenty of it.
He needs history to be his guide:
• In 2006, Jimmie Johnson rallied from 165 points down with seven races remaining to win the championship.
• In the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, a driver has gained 100 points on the series leader in a single race four times – the largest being a 148-point swing by Johnson at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in 2004.
Or, Busch can rely on his own past success:
heres hoping but i think to many good teams need bad luck but with dega and m'vill coming still have my fingers and toes crossed.
Very true. Anything is possible, thou I really still have to say that I gotta go with Johnson, still. I honestly don't see him having any bad luck - him or Carl or Bif. They all just look really good and have the big MO on their side.
the biff would be nice i could be wrong but i think that would give him a tittle in all three top classes??? cousin carl just strikes me as a bit fake. three in a row would also be kinda cool to see.
