But that is so true it would be boring if everyone liked the same drivers but please let the people at MIS they don't need to boo me when I walk by with my JG shirt and cap on.
It's Ok Jim. I'm still with you. I guess if everybody liked the same driver, this would be a very dull site. 😉
I might be a little off topic but I think it's kind of amusing how so many people go on about Sr... like don't get me wrong, he was an amazing talent and legendary, but back in the day he was hated worse than the Taliban... You either were a fan of Earnhardt or you liked ANY of the other drivers. I was a Rusty fan and he had several occasions where he was the most hated man in Nascar, behind Earnhardt. Nothing ever eclipsed the hate for Earnhardt, until the crash. I'm not disrespecting at all either, the man was legendary. My personal favorite era in Nascar was the "black car" period when the #3, #2 and #28 cars ruled everywhere.
As to Jr, he has some pretty big shoes to fill, and I don't believe he has ever lived up to the demands placed on him by Nascar and the fans, no fault of his. I hoped he would shine when coming to the Hendrick organization, but it hasn't happened yet.
All IMHO of course and not intended to add fuel to the fire, just putting it out there ;D

You are supposed to take the boos with pride and wear them proudly if you are truly a Cup fan. Â 😉 Pick your driver and stick with him whatever happens.
An amusing story I remember a few years ago at MIS. After happy hour Rusty was signing autographs in one of the souvenier trailers and he had a few Miller Lites. There was a long line of Rusty fans waiting all with their gear on. A woman walked by going WHAAAA.....WHAAAA.....RUSTY WHINER over and over. The assembled Rusty fans were getting edgy. Rusty stared her down, smiled, took a big drink and said bring it on baby. I've got big shoulders! Blow me a kiss during the race tommorrow. She turned white as a sheet. I nearly got trampled to death when I fell over laughing. Those people that waited in line for him to sign just became bigger Rusty fans.
Speaking of picking your driver and sticking with him I have not had too much luck or should I say the guys I cheer for don't.
