wow, this went very political!!!! lets get back to topic.........stone the evil broom stick ridin stepmother.......muahahahahahaah!!!!! lol hey longstreet, i do like jr, but i also like the entire sport of nascar racing....was a huge tim richmond fan, and geoff bodine, so it was cool to race against him in sun valley a few years back. ss
mr white you are a class act always was as i remember from toon town. i just dont buy that jr is all great and the evil step mother all bad. ps also a huge nascar fan and as ofr tim richmond well lets just say that if he had lived i dont think the 3 car would have won 7 championships. lastly waht nascar did to him still sucks to this day. jmnsho
Richmond was a real talent... If he didn't like Christmas so much (ho, ho, ho) I agree it would have been different...
I read one time he scared the c**p out of a reporter for SCR driving an Iroc Camaro around town for about 5 minutes... ;D That's talent!
GM compaired to Canada;
GM 2008 Revenue: 166.10 Billion
Canada 2007 GDP: 1051 billion
Gm 2008 total debt: 45.16 billion
Canada 2007 national debt: 457 billion
As you can quickly see, GM is roughly 1/10th of all of Canada in terms of finances, and the reason why Canada cannot make any difference for the big 3.
southernsponsor...we agree on something....Richmond was the very best of all time,
and that didn't matter what he was driving.
He could drive a Stock Car, he could drive a Boat.
He could drive an Indy Car, and could really drive women !!
If he would have lived, I think racing today at that level, would be so different.
Richmond was a hard nose playboy that could drive, and fight, his way to the front.
He didn't take any crap from anyone, and he told Nascar to cram it on more then one occasion. Now a days, there so much ass kissin in Nascar, and that makes it very
boaring as well as very political.
I think your a great guy after racing with you last year, but even you are getting a little bit on the kissy side with Nascar. Just for once I would really love to here what you honestly think about this whole mess here in Canada.
If your going to start off with your old, I think Nascar's doing a great job here attitude,
then don't bother replying as we have all heard it all before.
I don't know if you got last weeks bulletin yet from Daytona, but on page 398, paragraph 27, subchapter 66, item number 4, as written on line 74 of the new rule book, under Driver and Crew Appearance, it is now mandatory that everyone must wear Lipstick !!
By the way I am not a big T.E. fan either, but I really don't consider Dale Jr. a real great race car driver either. Im not saying he's bad- but he's no Super Star on the track either.
If he would have had to make it in that series on talent alone, I am sure he would still be driving, but it would have been in one of RCR's motor coaches.
I think everyone will agree, excluding Dale Sr. and his Dad, every other Earnhardt that has ever hit the track only got rides because of Dad's name. In fact if the truth be known, Dale Jr's sister is a better driver then he is.
I think T.E. put the spoiled little bas%^*d in his place and basically told him, "its time you start running on your own money".
Was it a good idea.... I don't think so, because Jr. had all of Dad's Fans, Sponsors and the backing of NASCAR. It was obvious back then when they split that DEI was going to race on borrowed time, and now the clock has quit ticking.
She is lucky that Ganassi is loosing Dodge and switching to Chevrolet, because there is not a huge market these days for Race Teams For Sale.
I am looking forward to the press release from Daytona that is coming out after the Homestead Race.
NASCAR TEAMS UP WITH NEW AUTOMOTIVE GIANTS
Daytona Beach, Florida
Today, NASCAR's President Mr. Bill France JR. unveiled his plans for 2009 by welcoming new Automotive Manufactures to the sport of Stock Car Racing.
KIA, Volvo, VW and Fiat will Field 4 Teams each, comprised of 5 cars per team.
Driving for the new entries will be Hans Vonspitalot, Jacques Kantsee, Branerd Tummor, James Johnson, and rookie star, I.M. Scarredd.
Laugh now.... because that is what everyone did back in 1996 when Nascar talked about building a uniform car for the series......
Back then they called it the Grow House Project, but later changed it to Greenhouse !!
er will see Ross...and i can guarantee Canada will not be alone...there is a very rich country to the south of america that needs the big 3 as well...
