Yes that is what will most likely happen. Will Dale JR go after the 8 or stick with the 88 if this happens. It was easy for people with tattoos to add an 8 and change the 8 color to green but how about removing one 8 not so easy. Sorry just babbling on here.

Hate say this is just the start of teams merging with each other to keep afloat.With teams losing sponsors watch for these 43 car fields to drop to maybe as low as 35 in some cases.This ecomy thing is going to cause havic in car racing.You could see that happening this year when you looked at the grandstands at some of these tracks empty seats mean lost money for all concerned.Hope I am wrong but I donot think so.
