Well with the price in the Thunder car class, it very hard to stay competitive being self sponsored as I have been.  I have been thinking about trying to collect some other sponsorships, but I don't even know where to start with prices. Can anyone let me know what they charge for advertising on there car?

hey man, best bet is to create a sponsor package....to lure them,

but opn my car I have 4 sponsor spots that I use

2500 for my hood, 1500 for my rear fenders (unsponsored this year) 1000 for between my numbers and rear tire, 500 for skirts...my rear bumper is used up for a personal thank you.

hopefully that gets you started, my hood may be a little more than others but its because my sponsor was willing to pay it haha!

any sponsor is a good one...even if you get $100 or $200 for a bumper sticker size one, cuz if you do a good job keeping the car nice, do well on the track, or do good PR work they could always offer you more money for a bigger spot down the road...

Before you even discuss money you will need to put together a well laid out sponsor proposal package. what are you going to offer the sponsor? a spot on your car? big deal! You need to be ready to bring something tangible to the table. Are you willing to show the car? let the sponsor use it? Throw a promotional BBQ for the sponsor? Does he participate on other events in which you could show the car? Asking for money with no proposal is a sure way to scare a potential sponsor away. Let me know if you want a copy
