The winner of the race was Mark Watson, the 81 was dq'd for running 8604 weight with ASA motor, as well as an illegal rev chip.  The 9 was dq'd for an illegal carb spacer.
I'm surprised that race time radio didn't interview Watson or someone from the track, almost sounds they are covering up the truth, I have never seen the other side of the story not be interviewed other than that time in Florida that also involved the 81.
I'm sure we will hear how it's all the track's fault, as far as I'm concerned it was great to see some real tech.

The 9 went to tech? He didn't even make it to the 2nd segment of the race.

one of the reasons this event was poorly attended was because the lack of tech in years past IMO. hats off to Sauble Speedway for enforcing their rules. If Sauble can DQ what some might think is their golden boy maybe this will set a precedent to drivers and other tracks that rules must be followed and enforced.

Congrats to Mark Watson on the win!!
