I agree with jcrashm2!!!!!! Whats the point of rules if the track does not make anyone play by them! Even if the tech guys catch people cheating, the calls are over turned by the track owners. I think if you are caught cheating you should be D.Q no questions asked, you may piss off that driver, but you make all the rest happy for keeping the playing field equal.
this is a post for another thread keep it positive please this is a thread that is meant to have as much input as people will offer on the development of a modern entry level class that would hopefully be a good fit at all Ontario tracks that owners of tracks can simply log on to here and download the rules. it would save them alot of time making there own up and sure would make for great invitationals start with the making of entry level rules and maybee in time post late model rules here
wow no changes just the thunder tire .......next post can say nay or yay to that cause i want to sit on the fence too.........then I guess print it and lock-it down for three years
I think All the rules, for all classes should be locked in for 3 years. That would keep the cost down for everyone involved. I know it would be very difficult to do but it would be nice to see.
I really want 5 because I think it would make drivers jump up classes rather than wait to make the car they r in faster within the rules but I think three is realistic
3 years is good for the rules to be locked in. I agree with smokinjoe, the Barrie tires are much cheaper. I think they were $98 or something each. They have better grip and cut the cost down. I hear the tires Sauble and Sunset run are at least $130. Think about it, that's a savings of at least $120 for 4 tires. Will buy you a spare too! not too shabby.
Well at Sauble something has to be done to get the car counts up. I believe that it a combination between a lack of purse as opposed to other tracks and the fact that there are 2 8 cylinder classes. They only need one. I too feel that is the street stock class got the boot that it would be better for the 4 cylinder class, the guys that are coming in and can't afford Thunder will go to 4 cylinder to start, and it will also help the Thunder class as those who want to race 8 cylinders will just run the Thunder class.....a win win if you ask me
