Power made the move on Mike Duskey (Albany, PE) in the second half of the race and held off rival Michael Cormier (Grand-Barachois, NB) to take the checkered flag in the extended distance event. The race also served as the final leg in the Westwood Estates Street Stock Triple Crown, which was won by third place finisher on the night Luc McLaughlin (Geary, NB).

“What a feeling,” described Power after climbing from his No. 58 Riverview Muffler Chevrolet. “I could put this car anywhere on the track and the car finally held together in a big race!”

Brandon Snow (Oyster Bed Bridge, PE) and Bill Storey (Fredericton, NB) completed the top five in the 75-lap main event on Friday. Byrne held court most of the race with Scotia Speedworld Thunder champion Darren Flemming (Belnan, NS) and Dave Matthews (Kennetcook, NS) racing in his shadow for the duration of the feature. One caution slowed the event with 20 to go, which allowed Flemming to edge ahead of Matthews for the runner up spot. Petty International Raceway track champion Rob Poirier (Irishtown, NB) and Mike Edwards (Penobsquis, NB), in his racing return for 2018, completed the top five.

Byrne and Poirier each took home Mini Stock heat race qualifiers.

UNOFFICIAL FEATURE RESULTS – MINI STOCK 50

1st – 67 Cody Byrne
2nd – 22 Darren Flemming
3rd - 99 Dave Matthews
4th - 0 Rob Poirier
5th – 23 Mike Edwards
6th – 13 Harley Cornish
7th – 19 Coady Palmer
8th – 33 Trevor Smith
9th – 17 Ricky Millar
10th – 82 Garth Bezanson
11th – 72 Rob Boutilier
12th – 66B Brad Daley
13th – 8 Dyllan Farrell
14th – 69 BJ Gillespie
15th – 66 Chris Garnett
16th – 46 Ryan McKnight
17th – 51 Bryan Suttie
18th - 85 Adam Cormier
19th – 14 Matthew Ford
20th – 4 Martin Landry
DNS – 73 Allison Hall

The Atlantic Modified Tour visited Petty International Raceway and it was former Series champion Brandon Skidmore (Springhill, NS) racing to victory lane after a fuel cell issue in practice nearly sidelined the team for the event.
FIFTH ANNUAL MIKE STEVENS MEMORIAL WEEKEND SET TO SHINE AT PETTY RACEWAY

(RIVER GLADE, NB – September 20th, 2018) – Management at Petty International Raceway are making the final touches to what is expected to be one of the biggest season-end racing events in Atlantic Canada. The Fifth Annual Mike Stevens Memorial presented by R. Stevens Mechanical, Carnahan Property Management, Roadway Systems Limited and NAPA Auto Parts Salisbury and Petitcodiac will take place over two days, highlighted by the Mike Stevens Memorial Super Late Model 200 on Saturday, September 22nd. The race will serve as the final race in the Bumper to Bumper $5K Petty Pro Stock Challenge (PPSC), where the top three in the final standings will share in cash and prizes from Bumper to Bumper and Lonnie Sommerville Racing. The weekend gets kicked off with racing at 7pm on Friday evening and again on Saturday at 4pm.

The Mike Stevens Memorial Super Late Model 200 features some of the biggest Pro Stock names from the region on the pre-registration list. Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) enters as the most recent winner of the event after going to victory lane in the event in 2016 and 2015 and as the most recent Pro Stock winner at the track after racing to the victory in the Cummins 200 in August. Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) has his eyes set on the Bumper to Bumper PPSC title to go along with the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour championship he wrapped up one week ago at Scotia Speedworld. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) won the season opening Lucas Oil 150 at Petty International Raceway in May and won the final two rounds of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour in 2018. Ryan Messer (Harvey, NB) will hit the track for the first time since his big McLaughlin Roof Trusses 250 victory in the province earlier this month.

Prince Edward Island will be well represented at the Mike Stevens Memorial 200. Chris Hughes (Brackley Beach), Troy Burke (Harrington), Robbie MacEwen (Sherwood) and Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown) each have a victory in the Oyster Bed Speedway Pro Stock division in 2018. Combine that with Hicken, MacKinnon and MacEwen combining to sweep the podium in the August running of the Cummins 200, there will be several eyes on the contingent from the Island.

Top to bottom, the field assembling for Saturday evening’s 200-lap event is deep with talent. Lonnie Sommerville (Barnesville, NB) is a multi-time 250 champion and will join former Speedway 660 track champions Chris Duncan (Hampton, NB) and Greg Fahey (St. Stephen, NB) in the field. The 2001 McLaughlin Roof Trusses 250 champion Kirk Thibeau (Fort Fairfield, ME), previous Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Rookie of the Year winners Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) and Sarah McKay (Quispamsis, NB) are among those with major accomplishments in a Pro Stock car. Former NAPA Sportsman Series champions Kyle and Chris Reid (Fort McMurray, AB), 2017 INEX Asphalt Nationals Semi Pro winner Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS), Super Late Model freshman Cory Hall (Jolicure, NB), 2016 Petty International Raceway Street Stock champion “The THRILLMAKER” Craig Ward (Riverview, NB) and Pro Stock veteran Michael Kyle (Sussex, NB) will look to make a breakthrough with a big win on Saturday evening.

In addition to the $5,000 up for grabs to the winner in the Bumper to Bumper $5k PPSC, there is some big money up for grabs during the Mike Stevens Memorial Super Late Model 200. The purse tips the scale for the race at over $50,000, with $7,500 going to the winner and $50 per lap going to each lap leader. If you add in a $500 bonus for the Most Laps Led courtesy of EIT Race Radios and $500 to the leader at halfway from Silver Fox Special Care Home, the winner’s cheque could be as much as $18,500 if he or she has a perfect night.

While there is no pre-registration list for the Limited Late Model (Sportsman) 75 on Saturday, the field is shaping up as one of the most diverse with teams from across Atlantic Canada taking aim at a Mike Stevens Memorial crown. Newly minted track champion Brady Creamer (Miramichi, NB), former River Glade International champion Laurie Cormier (Riverview, NB), Scotia Speedworld track champion Jordan Veinotte (Porter’s Lake, NS) and two-time and defending Mike Stevens Memorial winner Kenny MacKenzie Jr (Salisbury, NB) are among the full time drivers in the A.E. McKay Builders Late Model Sportsman division that will look to defend their home turf on Saturday. Justin Beers (Moncton, NB) has broke through for two feature wins this season and will look to back up his Caleb Dunn Memorial win in August with a season capping Mike Stevens Memorial win.

Fans can expect local favorites like Neal Crawford and Marcel LeBlanc to search for their first Mike Stevens Memorial Limited Late Model title along with a number of visiting teams including Ryan Raynes (Saint John, NB), Matt Maillet (Burton, NB), Joey Livingstone (Pictou Landing, NS), 2017 Scotia Speedworld Sportsman champion Matt Vaughan (Bedford, NS), Sportsman sophomore Curtis Collins (Saint John, NB), Eastbound Park’s Shane Coffen (Chance Cove, NL), Scotia Speedworld Rookie of the Year Deven Smith (Lakeside, NS) and a returning Ian Mollins (Berry Mills, NB). This only scratches the surface of the drivers that will line up to take the green flag on Saturday for the 75-lap feature.

Grandstand admission prices for Saturday’s Mike Stevens Memorial presented by R. Stevens Mechanical, Carnahan Property Management, Roadway Systems Limited and NAPA Auto Parts Salisbury and Petitcodiac are $40 for adults and $10 for youth aged eight to 18, while children seven years of age and under will be admitted free. Pit admission is $50 and is restricted to those 16 years of age and older. Pit gates for competitors open at 12pm, grandstand gates open for spectators at 2pm with racing getting underway at 4pm. Ivan Daigle and the Dirt County Confederates will play a pre-race concert during the Autograph Session on Saturday night. Daigle’s high energy is sure to pump up the crowd and the competitors before they settle in for 200-laps of Super Late Model Pro Stock action.

Friday night’s racing action is highlighted by the final round of the 2018 Westwood Estates Street Stock Triple Crown. One of Luc McLaughlin’s pre-season goals was to take home the three race Series and now the Geary driver can see the trophy in sight. A lot can happen over 75-laps though and he only has a three point cushion on 2017 track champion Logan Power (Riverview, NB), four points on Mike Duskey (Albany, PE) and seven points on Nick Cudmore (Petitcodiac, NB). Dan Smith (Lower Sackville, NS), a former six-time Scotia Speedworld Truck champion, sits fifth in the standings for the Triple Crown while newly crowned track champion Michael Cormier (Grand-Barachois, NB) finds himself sixth with one race to go.

The Mister Transmission Mini Stock division has produced some excellent four cylinder racing all season long and Friday night should not disappoint fans as they race for a Mike Stevens Memorial trophy. Rob Poirier (Irishtown, NB) enters fresh off winning his first Petty International Raceway track championship but will have company in the traffic jam to the front of the field. Former champions Mike Weagle (Salisbury, NB) and JR Lawson (Shubenacadie, NS) are sure to be on their game, along with Chantel Ackles (Shubenacadie, NS) and 2018 championship runner up Patricia Taylor (Salisbury, NB).

Chris Garnett (Havelock, NB) will not only look to race to the front but hold off teammate and returning veteran Brad Daley. With Petty International Raceway being the only asphalt oval in the Maritimes in competition this weekend, a number of four cylinder stars from all three Provinces are expected to make a run at the high banked oval on Friday.

The Bandolero division will compete in the final INEX National Qualifier of the season in Atlantic Canada. INEX members accumulate points at INEX sanctioned feature events throughout the season. A Bandolero driver’s best nineteen finishes plus their best qualifier counts towards their International Point standing.

Sam Rogers (Lower Onslow, NS) is the reigning Petty International Raceway track champion in the Leisure Days RV Bandolero division and has won National Qualifiers for Bandolero Outlaws at both Speedway 660 and Scotia Speedworld this season. Rogers is third globally in INEX National points for the Outlaw division while 2018 Scotia Speedworld Outlaw champion Colton Noble (Upper Nine Mile River, NS) and Danny Chisholm (Canning, NS) find themselves within the top 15 in the world as of press time. Owen Mahar (Hubley, NS) is ninth in the INEX National Bandolero Bandit standings.

The Atlantic Modified Tour will visit Petty International Raceway on Friday evening to not only inch closer to crowning a touring champion but to also crown a track champion for 2018. Joe Hoyt (Waasis, NB) leads Braxton Stafford (Miramichi, NB) by a slim two points in the track title chase with one event to go. Hoyt also leads the Atlantic Modified Tour standings with just this event and the season finale at Speedway Miramichi on October 13th between him and the championship on the Tour. Kevin Bailey (Oromocto, NB) and Brandon Skidmore (Springhill, NS) are the two most recent winners on the Tour after driving to victory lane last Saturday at Speedway Miramichi.

Grandstand admission prices for Friday’s opening night of the Mike Stevens Memorial presented by R. Stevens Mechanical, Carnahan Property Management, Roadway Systems Limited and NAPA Auto Parts Salisbury and Petitcodiac are $20 for adults and $10 for youth aged eight to 18, while children seven years of age and under will be admitted free. Pit admission is $30 and is restricted to those 16 years of age and older.
TRACK CHAMPIONS TO BE CROWNED ON DAY OF CHAMPIONS SATURDAY AT PETTY RACEWAY

(River Glade, NB – September 5th, 2018) – A season long championship chase comes down to one intense night of stock car racing at Petty International Raceway. Five house divisions are in action on Saturday evening, September 8th with four of those competing in double features to ultimately crown the track champions. The event also serves as Fan Appreciation Night that sees a special adult grandstand admission rate of $10 per person. Racing on Saturday, September 8th begins at 4pm.

Highlighting the card will be two 40-lap A.E. McKay Builders Late Model Sportsman feature events. The spotlight will be on the top three in points with each of the trio looking for their first Late Model Sportsman championship at Petty International Raceway since the track re-opened in 2011. Brady Creamer (Miramichi) enters the final night of point racing with a five point lead over 54th Jones Auto Body River Glade International champion Jordan Veinotte (Porter’s Lake, NS) and six points on veteran Laurie Cormier (Riverview). Reigning track champion Kenny MacKenzie Jr (Salisbury) enters with a mathematical chance at a second title but with a 25-point deficit will need some help to get back to the top. With lots of laps for the trio to work and several others looking to grab two checkered flags on the evening, this battle could go either way when the dust settles after heat racing and two feature events.

The Westwood Estates Street Stock division is coming down to two drivers also in search of their first Petty International Raceway Street Stock championship. Michael Cormier (Grand-Barachois) is the most recent winner in the Westwood Estates Street Stock division and leads Nick Cudmore (Petitcodiac) by just four points heading into two 40-lap features on Saturday. Cormier has a Leisure Days RV Bandolero championship in his back pocket from 2016 and knows the pressures of winning a season long title while Cudmore will look to add his name to the list of recent track champions at Petty International Raceway. Defending champion Logan Power (Riverview) enters with an outside shot at the title, sitting 23 points out of the top spot.

Patricia Taylor (Salisbury) and Rob Poirier (Irishtown) will look to settle the Mister Transmission Mini Stock division title amongst themselves on Saturday evening. The pair head into the championship point finale deadlocked atop the standings. With a heat race and two 30-lap features, it is possible for the lead to shift thrice before the champion is crowned at the end of the night. Of note, the last time the division ran twin features in July, Poirier gained 19 points on Taylor in the championship chase. Entering Saturday, Chantel Ackles (Shubenacadie, NS) enters 21 points behind the pair tied for the championship lead. Case in point? It is not over until the final checkered flag falls!

Sam Rogers (Lower Onslow, NS) is in firm control of the Leisure Days RV Bandolero standings with a pair of 15 lap features to come on Saturday. Rogers, who has a 32 point lead on Colton Noble (Upper Nine Mile River), would need a catastrophic failure on Saturday evening to lose his grip on the top spot in the championship. Rogers will look to become the second back to back Bandolero champion at the track after Cole Tanner (Shubenacadie, NS) pulled the feat in 2012 and 2013.

A new name to the division hasn’t stopped Paula Evans from driving to the front. The Kings County Performance Beginner Four Cylinder division championship will come down to a final 15-lap feature and it is Evans in the driver’s seat by nine points over Ashley Campbell. Evans is the defending champion of sorts after winning her first point title in the Women on Wheels division at Petty International Raceway in 2017.

To salute the fans that support Petty International Raceway, grandstand admission prices for Saturday are just $10 for adults and youth aged eight to 18, while children seven years of age and under will be admitted free. Pit admission is $25 and is restricted to those 16 years of age and older. Pit gates for competitors open at 12pm, grandstand gates open for spectators at 2pm with racing getting underway at 4pm.

For complete, up-to-date information on Petty International Raceway, please visit PettyInternationalRaceway.com, follow us on Twitter (@PettyRaceway_NB) and like us on Facebook (@PettyInternationalRaceway).

About Petty International Raceway:
Petty International Raceway is located on Highway 106, just 40 km west of Moncton, New Brunswick. The racing-themed network will once again cover all the action from both days of racing in all classes from Bandoleros and Sharp Shooters through the Sportsman and Pro Stock events. Broadcast and viewing information is available by navigating a web-enabled device to www.pitrow.tv.

The pro stock portion of SpeedWeekend alone pays nearly $75,000 with lap money available to leaders and various bonuses paid throughout the field. Saturday night's Martin's Home Heating 150 boasts the biggest sportsman purse in Canada, paying $7500 to the winner with increased payouts through the field from a year ago. Sunday's feature event consists of 250 green flag laps with a potential winner's share of $28,500 up for grabs.

"The response to Pit Row TV's presence last year was overwhelming," said Max Roy from Speedway 660. "We had fans from across the continent watching Cassius Clark, Dave O'Blenis and all our other winners go to victory lane which was something they've never been able to do before. On top of that, our officials were able to utilize the Pit Row TV replay system to help us make the right calls during the race, so it was a benefit for not only our fans, but our competitors as well."

Last year, viewers watched Cassius Clark claim his fourth win in the Canadian classic, driving his No. 13 King Racing Fury chassis to victory lane after taking advantage of pit strategy and misfortune by American racer Johnny Clark. This year, over two dozen entries flooded the track office on the first day of open entries with additional racers making contact with the facility in the proceeding days.

"We've been doing this for quite some time, and each year things continue to get better," Roy said about the SpeedWeekend festivities. "We've learned from both good things and bad things in the past, and this year we're hoping to see some fantastic racing in all classes. The drivers are pumped up, the current weather forecast is great, and everyone is excited about SpeedWeekend once again, both in the United States and Canada."

Pit Row TV has earned its place as one of the leading broadcast outlets for motorsports with coverage from various events past and present including the CARS Response Energy Tour, the Modified MEGA 100, the All-American 400 and many more. Since the weekend is one of Canada's marquee motorsports events, the network will be featuring multiple cameras to capture the action, replays, in-broadcast features, on-screen scoring and more.

Displaced fans who are unable to make the trek to Speedway 660 this weekend can catch every bit of action LIVE at www.pitrow.tv. The network also has a Roku app available for installation through their website for viewing on Roku devices including their line of smart TVs and external players. Chromecast users, mobile phone viewers, PC and Mac owners are all able to view the event on their favorite device of choice.

For more information about Speedway 660, visit Speedway660.com, like @Speedway660 on Facebook or call the Speedway 660 Raceline at (506) 454-7223.

About Speedway 660:
Speedway 660 is one of Canada’s premier stock car racing facilities. Located in New Brunswick’s Fredericton region, it attracts race teams and fans from the Maritimes, New England and Quebec. The Speedway 660 racing season runs from mid May until Labour Day Weekend. The mini-Series within the five Pro Stock/Super Late Model races held at the high banked bullring continues this weekend with the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour’s Cummins 200 on Saturday, August 25th. The event is a part of the 54th Jones Auto Body River Glade International.

Butcher Racing and the No. 53 car with Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour point leader Cole Butcher at the wheel have won two of the first three Pro Stock races at Petty International Raceway in 2018. Butcher took home his first Pro All Stars Series (PASS) win at the Atlantic Fleet Completion Centre 150 on Sunday, June 3rd and followed it up with a Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour win during the Irving Blending & Packaging 150 on Saturday, July 21st. His worst finish of the season at Petty International Raceway is a second place finish in the Lucas Oil 150 season opener on Saturday, May 19th.

With Butcher racing in the 45th Annual Oxford 250 this weekend at the Oxford Plains Speedway (ME), the team has Russell Smith Jr. (Lakeside, NS) substituting in the No. 53. With Bumper to Bumper $5k PPSC points going to the car, Smith Jr. will accumulate points for the leading car in the standings. Smith Jr. is a former A.E. McKay Builders Late Model Sportsman Champion at Petty International Raceway and a two-time River Glade International champion in a Sportsman car. Smith Jr. was on the podium in the Cummins 200 one year ago driving for Slaunwhite Motorsports.

Eight drivers have competed in all three PPSC races so far in 2018. Sixth has been the number for Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) as he has placed in that spot in each of the first three races which has him second in the standings. Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) is third in the standings of those that have run all three races, just three points off MacKinnon. Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) and reigning Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour champion Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) complete the top five in the standings. Andrew Rodgers (Smithtown, NB), Chris Duncan (Hampton, NB) and Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) round out the drivers who have raced in the first three races.

Not to worry though as one “drop race” will be factored into the final standings after the checkered flag falls in the Mike Stevens Memorial. Race teams will be able to count their best four races towards the final point tally in the PPSC.
Point Battle Tightens as Maritime League of Legends Tour Races Back to New Brunswick

(BEDFORD, NS – August 21st, 2018) – The Maritime League of Legends Tour continue a busy month of August by visiting Petty International Raceway in River Glade, New Brunswick for a second time in 2018 on Saturday. The 50-lap race is the eighth of ten rounds on the Maritime League of Legends Tour for the year and is a part of the prestigious 54th Jones Auto Body River Glade International weekend. Racing on August 25th begins at 6pm.

The Celtic Air Services 50 at Riverside International Speedway last Sunday shook the foundation of the championship battle with three races remaining on the schedule. Shelby Baker (Fall River, NS) saw two thirds of his point lead evaporate after a crash in the Celtic Air Services 50, which resulted in a 13th place finish. Craig MacDonald (Waverley, NS), who entered the event third in the standings, retired from the event after a scrape with the backstraight wall early in the 50-lap feature last Sunday. Both drivers ran up front early in the race before finding themselves on pit road before the finish of the race.

Baker still leads the standings but his point lead is down to eight points over Emily Meehan (Rawdon, NS), who finished fourth in the Celtic Air Services 50. Meehan won the 50-lap feature on the first visit to Petty International Raceway this Summer for her first Maritime League of Legends Tour win and will look to sweep the season at the high banked bullring on Saturday.

Sam Rogers (Lower Onslow, NS) and the Farrell’s Racing team also closed the gap on Baker with a third place run at Riverside International Speedway. The third place finish was the best career finish for Rogers in just his sixth Legend start. The Farrell’s Racing No. 12 car is third in the Tour standings, just 15 points off Baker with three races to go. Farrell’s Racing won the last two Maritime League of Legends Tour championships with their No. 48 car and Waylon Farrell (Conception Bay South, NL).

While his hand may hover over the proverbial panic button on his championship hopes, MacDonald is far from mathematically eliminated when it comes to the title hunt. The three time winner on the season is 39 points back from Baker with three races to go and is sure to be a threat at the next three tracks on the schedule to close out 2018.

After an early retirement from last weekend’s Celtic Air Services 50, Michael Cormier (Grand-Barachois, NB) enters his home track race with fifth in the overall standings and still a firm hold on the Fleet Brake Atlantic Rookie of the Year lead. Cormier, who leads the Westwood Estates Street Stock points at Petty International Raceway, will do double duty this weekend with the Legend car on Saturday and his Street Stock on Friday evening. Josh Langille (Coldbrook, NS), who has been known to hop between a Bandolero and a Legend car on any given weekend, is 20 points out of Cormier for fifth in the Maritime League of Legends Tour standings.

In the Fleet Brake Atlantic Rookie of the Year standings, Cormier leads Rogers, Nathan Blackburn (Timberlea, NS), Nicole Richard (Belnan, NS), Devin Gallant (Charlottetown, PE) and Austin MacDonald (Pictou, NS). MacDonald took home the Fleet Brake Atlantic Rookie of the Race Award at Riverside Speedway with a second place finish to Cory Hall (Jolicure, NB) in the Celtic Air Services 50.

The 50-lap feature on Saturday is a home Province race for Darren Sherwood (Cambridge Narrows, NB). With the Series racing in New Brunswick the next two weeks, look for Sherwood to be battling for the checkered flag at both Petty International Raceway and Speedway 660 over the next two Saturday nights.

Expect to see many familiar faces in the field on Saturday, including the likes of Kevin MacDonald (Antigonish, NS), Kyle Shipley (Spryfield, NS), Jeff Cruickshank (Hantspot, NS) and Gary Dunning (Charlottetown, PE). Cruickshank, Dunning and MacDonald were able to crack the top ten here in July while Cruickshank finished top of the quartet at Riverside with an eighth place finish. Kody Quinn (Sydney, NS) will return to the seat of a Legend in the Maritimes after almost a year. Quinn last competed on the Maritime League of Legends Tour in 2017 as a rookie.

Grandstand admission prices for Saturday’s events at Petty International Raceway, including the Maritime League of Legends Tour 50, are $35 for adults and $10 for youth aged eight to 18, while children seven years of age and under will be admitted free. Pit admission is $40 and is restricted to those 16 years of age and older. Tickets are available at the gate on race day.

For complete information on the Maritime League of Legends Tour, please visit MaritimeLegends.ca.

About The Maritime League of Legends:
The Maritime League of Legends Association was formed in 2005 by a group of racer’s wanting to grow the Legends Cars division in the Maritime Provinces of Canada.
MINI STOCK TOUR RACES TO PETTY RACEWAY SATURDAY FOR STICKERFOOL.COM 50

(Dartmouth, NS – August 21st, 2018) – The MJS and Prime Lift East Coast Mini Stock Tour head to New Brunswick for Round Five of the 2018 season, the StickerFool.com 50. The race marks the second and final stop of the season for the Honda based Four Cylinder Tour to Petty International Raceway on the year and the second of four straight races that culminates with crowning a 2018 champion at Riverside International Speedway on September 8th. The StickerFool.com 50 is a part of the 54th Jones Auto Body River Glade International weekend and has a post time on Saturday, August 25th of 6pm.

Reigning MJS and Prime Lift East Coast Mini Stock Tour champion Tim Webster (Beaver Bank, NS) drove to victory lane at Riverside International Speedway last Friday for his first win of 2018. By winning the Passione Flooring and Interiors 50, he became the fourth different winner on the Series in as many races in the current season. Joining him on the podium in the most recent race were the two most recent feature winners, Lake Doucette Motor Speedway winner Matthew Warren (White’s Lake, NS) and Scotia Speedworld winner Andrew Warren (White’s Lake, NS).

The trio lead the point standings with three races to go in the season. Matthew Warren shows the way but it is a slim six points back to his brother Andrew and Webster, who find themselves tied for second place in the point standings. They, along with Chris Hatcher (Beaver Bank, NS) are the four eligible drivers for Saturday’s United Rentals Dash for Cash Award during the StickerFool.com 50. The top driver at Petty International Raceway of those four will receive a $100 bonus courtesy of Series sponsor United Rentals. The top four in the StickerFool.com 50 will qualify for the United Rentals Dash for Cash at Speedway 660 in the September 1st running of the Pub’s Drive Thru Bottle Exchange 50.

When the MJS and Prime Lift East Coast Mini Stock Tour opened in May, it was Dave Matthews (Kennetcook, NS) driving “the Mystery Machine” to victory lane in the Season Opener at Petty International Raceway. Matthews is looking to rebound from a seventh place finish at Riverside International Speedway and sits well within the championship chase with a 12 point gap between himself and Matthew Warren for the lead. With Matthews also being the most recent Speedway 660 winner on the Series, these next two races will be key for the No. 99 team’s quest for the 2018 championship.

Darren Flemming (Rawdon, NS) sits fifth in the championship standings with just three races to go. Since the MJS and Prime Lift East Coast Mini Stock Tour has been to Petty International Raceway, Flemming has pocketed a feature win in their Mister Transmission Mini Stock house division. Flemming was eighth at Riverside International Speedway and will have work to do in the final three races with a 27 point disadvantage between himself and the championship lead.

Neil Miousse (Kentville, NS) is coming off a strong fifth place finish at Riverside International Speedway in the Passione Flooring and Interiors 50. Miousse is running the No. 55 Civic for Bob Landry, who is celebrating his 40th year of involvement in stock car racing in the Maritimes. Miousse, who finished outside the top ten in the Season Opener at Petty International Raceway, has moved to sixth in the point standings with three races to go.

Cody Byrne (Orwell Cove, PE), “The Ironman” Drew MacEachern (Dartmouth, NS) and Taylor McLean (New Glasgow, NS) all sit within the top ten in points and hope to move a little closer to the top five with a strong run Saturday in the StickerFool.com 50. They will be joined by Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia’s Jerome Tracey as he has a top ten points position in his crosshairs in his fourth start with the series in 2018.

Trevor Smith (Timberlea, NS) is expected to make his MJS and Prime Lift East Coast Mini Stock Tour debut Saturday in the StickerFool.com 50. A regular at Petty International Raceway, Smith has seen success across the board in four cylinder race cars in his racing career and will be a contender when the green flag flies on Saturday in the No. 33x Civic.

The Giles Auto World Pole Challenge, EIT Race Radios Hard Charger and the #29 Race Team Hard Luck Award will also be up for grabs for eligible competitors at Petty International Raceway during the StickerFool.com 50 race day.

Grandstand admission prices for Saturday’s events at Petty International Raceway, including the StickerFool.com 50, are $35 for adults and $10 for youth aged eight to 18, while children seven years of age and under will be admitted free.
