Restarting on the outside of row five, he'd look to continue moving forward. However on Lap 14, the rear tire would come off the No. 51 of Craig Kamrath ahead of McGlashan. It would leave McGlashan nowhere to go, as he made contact with the outside turn four wall, before being hit by a fellow competitor. Ultimately, the damage would end his race early.

The Dave Middel-owned mustang is proud to receive sponsorship from G.D. With no cautions, it seemed he was on cruise control, maintaining a solid advantage until the race’s first yellow flag flew with 16 laps to go. Semple would get a good restart to maintain the advantage, though the second caution would come out just seven laps later. There’d be another two restarts, which were executed perfectly. Semple got a good third restart, set to maintain the lead, though contact from behind courtesy of another competitor would send the No. 64 spinning off of turn two with eight laps to go. Semple would ultimately be credited with a 20th-place finish.

As always, be sure to like the Semple Motorsports facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/Semple-Motorsports-64-615482131938462/ to keep the latest news, and find out where Semple will be racing next this season.

Semple Motorsports is proud to be supported by Auto Trim Design, Paul Sadlon Motors, The Co-operators Lila J. Eventually rolling to a stop on Lap 19 after reporting "no gears" over the radio, he would be forced pit side for the rest of the feature with a mechanical issue. Forced to watch on the sidelines, the mathematical scenarios rolled through the mind over the course of the event.

Ultimately, a fifth-place finish from Jordan Lawrence saw the pair tie for the points lead. With the tiebreaker coming down to wins, Spencer-Walt was able to get the title as despite the final race ending in disappointment, the six-race mini series was full of success for the Eldon Wellis-owned team with three victories, a runner-up, a fourth, and the 19th in the Velocity 250. Notably, Spencer-Walt picked up eight wins and 19 top-fives in his last 21 races at Sauble Speedway and Sunset Speedway, combined.

"This caps her off for sure," Rick Spencer-Walt said afterwards. "We're going to go to Jukasa and see if we can a win there. I got to thank Nick (Goetz) for putting the money up and this series together for us to run. He's got three of the best cars in the province around. Lawrence gave me a run - good for that kid as he's a rookie. I didn't think he'd run like he did, but man that kid is a beast. He's going to be someone to deal with for years."

With the titles locked up, the team has fixed the No. 31 Late Model and will be looking to add another victory to the list this weekend with a win at Jukasa Motor Speedway's Fall Brawl.

The Eldon Wallis-owned team is proud to be supported by Gohydrovac.ca, Jim Wilson Chevrolet, Auto Trim Design, Byer’s Equipment Motorsports, Orser Technical Services, Heidi’s RV Superstore, GreenSteelRoof.ca, HOTC, Speedy Auto Glass Orillia, Frame Shop Huntsville, Speedy Auto Machine, Red Castle Performance, and EPIC Racewear.

Keep up with Rick Spencer-Walt and Spencer-Walt Motorsports by liking their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Walt-Motorsports/524817640964689?fref=ts and following Rick Spencer-Walt on twitter at https://twitter.com/Rwalt31.

Press Release by Ashley McCubbin/AM Marketing – ashleymccubbin17@gmail.com

Ultimately, he was able to leave Sunset Speedway with a top-10 finish.

Wilson would start off the weekend by finishing eighth in his first heat, followed by a sixth in the second qualifier. With 29 cars on the property, a b-main was run to set the back end of the field and determine who would not make the show. Unfortunately, Wilson was forced to run the event, in which he scored an eighth-place finish. While it wasn't enough to lock him into the show, he was one of two drivers allowed to transfer to the main event via points provisional.

Starting on the last row of the 24-car field, he would move up two spots to 22nd by the halfway mark of the feature, followed by another spot as he avoided an incident in turn four with 20 laps to go. He would crack the top-20 following the fifth caution with five laps to go. Unfortunately, his feature would come to an early conclusion as he was forced to the pits with two laps to go as a result of a mechanical failure. He was credited with a 19th-place finish.

Behind the wheel of his No. 69 Outlaw Midget, Wilson finished fifth in both of his qualifying heats, allowing him to start fourth for the feature. Although he faded back in the early stages, he'd continue fighting hard throughout the 25-lap feature en route to an eighth-place finish.

Wilson will be back behind the wheel of the No. 69 OSCAAR Modified on Saturday, September 28 at Flamboro Speedway as part of Frostoberfest.

Wilson’s efforts are supported by The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Have1.com, Larry’s Small Engines, and Wix Filters. He would get a good restart, moving into eighth on Lap 8. He would fall back spot under the long green flag run, but escaped a spin by another competitor to move back up to eighth at the halfway mark. Restarting in the outside lane, he'd hold off a couple challenges for the eighth position, missing another spin at Lap 45 to move up two spots to sixth. Restarting just outside of the top-five, he'd jump up to fifth on the restart, but the caution came back out for another driver having a mechanical issue. He'd battle tough on the restart, ultimately crossing the finish line in sixth.

Be sure to join ADAMS Motorsports at Flamboro Speedway on Saturday, September 28 for Frostoberfest.

ADAMS Motorsports is proud to be supported by PBS Motors and Pumps, Dwinnells Family Movers, Heritage Heating, Morton Metals, OTD Building Supplies, Fox’s Bakery and Deli, Port’s Heating & Cooling, Imperial Limousine & Airport Service, WIX Filters, Harbour Electric, and TSS Top Shops.

Be sure to keep up with ADAMS Motorsports by liking their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/adamsmotorsportsmodified/?fref=ts and checking out their website at http://www.adamsmotorsports99.com.

Press Release by: Ashley McCubbin/AM Marketing – ashleymccubbin17@gmail.com
