LOL...Clay...I think we are keeping Tex...lol...but i do agree...things have seemed to calm down a bit with the Rivalry which is good. Hopefully this frienliness continues on into next year. But i would lvoe to see another simcoe-county shootout...like everyone else says! I think friendly-rivalries are better than anything and this would certainly create that!

Yes Thayne, I agree we should try to get something going on recreating the "Simcoe County Shootout". I think that's a great idea. The Invitationals at Sunset and Peterborough were awesome and I think if we did maybe one or two more events like that, say have one at Barrie and one at Sunset, through the season, combine the points for both and declare the winner... That would be really cool. Make it open to the other Speedways too, there was guys from just about every track in Southern Ontario, even some from the States, kind of like what used to happen in the '50's and '60's for some racing events. I think if there was even just a Thunder Car / Four Cylinder "Super Event" that had enough cars that would be pretty awesome for the fans... And if that's not enough, ask the CVM or the TQ's or JCAR to come, I'm sure they would if they can... It's early enough right now to maybe get some of this established.

is the nascar license at barrie throwing a wrench into that plan right off the bat?

I don't rightly know Spencer, but I'm sure we could ask at the Driver's meeting... If it is a "Special" and not run on a regular race night that may be different, but I don't know.
