Heard rumours about December 7th being the date they update the rules for next year.  The banquet is this coming saturday night, so there should be some clarification as to the date of the rules meeting.

are thunders running at pete this year?

Peterborough has always been open to running the thunders, they just need a field of cars.

There was talk that if Kawartha included 3-link overslung LLMs in thunder, a bunch of us would leave and run Peterborough. That would’ve given them a field of thunders. However Karwartha has called some of us and told us this is not true. Its 602’s and load bolts only for next year. Increased purses and 30 lap features with another semi added. So  everyone I’ve spoke to is sticking with Kawartha.

That leaves Saturday night free. However its only been Steve Mayhew and me that have run regularly 2 nights (Dan Price when he got his car working) at Mosport. Other guys running more than one night like Andy Ford and Willy Ryens have favored going to different tracks for invitations.

Wild cards are, Kawartha has officially removed the LLM class. Mosport sounds like it is not going to run a Thunder class next year (but that won’t make much of a difference unfortunately due to low counts a drivers leaving the class). And Sunset has no points.

Other than the Sunset guys leaving to run Peterborough, or Peterborough somehow allowing LLM’s in as Thunder, or CCS guys making a really long haul (don’t think any were at AC even) they would not be able to make a field of cars.
