Well if the track would have had the 35 at the back where he was supposed to be none of this would have happened!
No that just means he would've put the 2nd last car into the wall 😉
The 35 was a lapped car at the drivers meeting JP stated that the lapped cars would be put to the back for the last 10 laps of the race. Dario was put into the wall in the last lap my question is, why was the 35 car up with the top 5 cars if he was a lapped car?
Because unless I'm wrong, I could've sworn he was annonced as being in 5th or something, prior to putting the 03 into the wall. Its a case to me, of one of those cars you are not really paying attention to the position of, because you assume its well back, right or wrong (and I missed it) somehow becomes a top 5 car..
He was a lapped car when he was up racing behind Dario he had been in the pits for a 4 laps and then recieved lucky dogs for 3 of those laps and was still down by 1 lap so why was he not at the back instead of up front racing with the top 5 cars. Even JP apoligized to Dario for the mistake saying he was a lapped car and should have been at the back
Jp apoligizing to Dario sure doesn't cut it ; if the FLAGMAN and the Scorer knew anything he shouls have been at the back long before thi even happened OR sent to pits !
If you watch the video closely you see the flagman at the starters stand waving the green flag due to the restart after the caution of whitty, then the next time around you see him waving the white flag, and Dario heading right into the wall, why was the 35 car not put to the back on that restart if he was a lapped car?
Linda, if you would've read posts that were posted earlier, JP appologized for not putting the 35 to the back due to that fact.
Anyways........
For a first trip to Autumn Colors, I definately enjoyed it. It was exciting and lived up to what everyone said it would.
Jim, glad to see you're okay. I have some pictures so later on, I'll make sure to e-mail them to you so you have them. As for everyone else that wrecked, glad to see you're all okay too.
As far as the LM race, I gotta agree with those that said Brandon put on a helluva drive. Too bad he didn't pull off the win. Though also give Dave Doucette credit on another good run through the pack after his accident. I have to say that if he hadn't had wrecked, he definately would've been right up there racing the other two for the win and at a good chance, got it. Though good sportsmenship on Dave's part in handing the crown to the winner. That definately shows the class of everybody within the Thunder Car division.
As far as the LLM race, man my heart breaks for Jason Witty. He definately had the car to beat and he worked his way up through there carefully, choosing wisely when to make his moves. It may be his second year (so that's what I've heard) but he's proved that he's got talent and is a vetran in racing. Though congratulations to Tom Walters as love him or hate him, you gotta admit he's a good racer. He's proven that time and time again. And the weapon of the night award? I definately have to agree on Tolton and I do Inglis making the comment that, "I came here last year and he wrecked me. I'll tell ya one thing - this isn't over yet. That's a bonehead and he shouldn't be out there driving a car worth $500." or something like that.
someone should glue that bob finaclown to the stasrter stand i have never seen stupidity as bad as the flag guy climbing in and out of the tower every caution....bob stay in the ##@$%$# tower.and do the job you have flag repeat FLAG NOT CHASE PROBLEMS...
and no offense to you hurricane midgets guys, but man, i know next year there is a lot of people that wouldnt be mad if they werent there but other then that great weekend, i know i partied way to much, especially saturday when i didnt go to bed at all.
