Well done!!
If there's an unofficial mogul with respects to Open Wheel racing in North America, it's Roger Penske. He has influenced every aspect of the sport over the last 35 years..
Did you know;
Penske's group of companies; manufacturer's every engine used in Indy and has done so over the past 5 years? (Honda name plate, but it has always been contracted out). Sir Penske bought the assets of the once famous Ilmor group that built the first U.S. funded and competitive engine that could routinely defeat Cosworth. The Ilmor was so good, GM entered into an agreement to rename the engine "Chevrolet Ilmor"
It's ironic, the Ilmor principles were two senior Cosworth DFX engineers, which didn't agree with Cosworth's direction, designed a better engine, Chevrolet picks it up, then leaves which then goes through several gyrations, Morgan (the MOR in the name) dies, Mercedes Benz buys GM's stake and eventually winds up in the hands of Roger Penske.
Ilmor continues to be a premier engineering firm under contract for a variety of race teams, manufacturer's and vendors around the world. There's not many people that impact Motorsports worldwide, except one man: Roger Penske.
Wow, I did not know that. I knew that Roger had been influencitial at different levels of racing and has had teams in a variety of different forms of motorsports, but I didn't know his influence went that deep. Thanks for the knowledge! 🙂

Added about 16 pictures from the Indy Firestone Lights action. You can check it out on their division page or on the "Pictures by Date" page.
