Great racing tonight.
Latemodels saw Adam Ferri avoid a lapped car and grab the lead on the final lap to win.
Sprints had Glen Styres holding off a last lap challenge from Dystra to win.
Cory McPherson wins the street stock and Robinson wins the minis.
My first trip...(well actually my 3rd) but first time actually getting to see racing at Ohsweken..and it was awesome!
Traffic there was brutal...took me like 2 hours 20 mins to get there...and 1 hour 35 mins to get home..so biiiig difference.
Great Racing all around..I really enjoyed the Thunder Stock Race....very competive lots of 2-3 wide racing....was awesome to watch!
bealive it or not...as much racing as I'v seen in my life tonight was the first time I'v seen Sprint Cars...and WOW they Fly! what a battle at the end to..it looked like Dystra was gonna slide up right into Stryes comming off the final turn..what a finish it was.
Late Model race was great to..once we got threw the first few laps...there had to have been like 5-6 cautions in the first 5 laps...just for stupid little spins and such it was getting rather annoying. what excatly happend at the end? the 01 tryed to go high on a lapper and jumped the cusion and slide off the track? beacuse I only caught the tail end of it.... I think he still thought he won to be honset, lucky break for the Ferri beacuse he had a 2nd place car forsure and stole the win!.
Also I must say the Ohsweken flagman is very entetaning...I'v never seen a flagger so hyper/intense what ever term you want to use then I seen tonight...haha.

Yes, Dale is a show all by himself...the racing is just his supporting cast! 😀
Ricotta had trouble with the lapper (I believe it was Rivait) and slid high in turn 1, allowing Ferri to steal away the win...Don't think Ricotta thought he won, but rather he came to the frontstretch to "discuss" the lap car issue with whomever would listen...It's too bad he didn't stay out there for me to interview him and give him his trophy. 😉
If tonight was your first time seeing the sprints, I hope it won't be your last...Next Friday is going to be one heck of a night, with the points getting a shake up again tonight after Dempster spun out of 2nd place...Then in 2 weeks it's the $8,000 to win Canadian Sprint Car Nationals with 70-80 of the best 360 sprint cars from Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Ontario, Quebec, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and beyond expected to be on hand.
How was the late model car count and does anybody no the top 5
think i counted 23
