Should CRO just focus on Canadian Motorsports only?
I'm looking at ways to improve the site for next season. CRO has grown again and we will hit over 30 million hits this year which is a huge jump from last years hits to CRO.

I hope next year will be better year in gaining new sponsors. People I speak to can't believe the site doesn't have a full time sponsors with the numbers this site gets. My goal to get a racing sponsor or is involved in racing. I would love to remove Google ads that don't seem to focus on providing us with ads that suit the members needs.
I'm still open to partnership deals as I know me doing it on my own is also holding CRO from growing even more.

I wouldn't say we should focus on Canadian motorsports to the exclusion of everything else....but it is the reason we're here.
I'd tend to say the focus should be on Canadians in motorsports.
This site has prospered largely as a grass-roots movement about weekly short-track racing and touring series. If I was running the show, rather than expanding to include US interests, I'd probably work at expanding and getting more tracks on board from other provinces. I know we're inclusive of all of it, but for some reason, this place seems to be populated mostly by folks from tracks in Ontario. I'd probably try to figure out why and then try to fix it.
This is just my take however. I'm not really sure what you have in mind Evan. I do know that I don't really need to be reading all about Kyle Busch, Tony Stewart and Jimmie Johnson when I come here. There's a hundered other places that do a way better job at that than we could.

I can agree with most of this post especially the NASCAR comments. NASCAR is readily available in numerous ways for the die hard fan.I think that the Canadian content in some ways would be more appealing for sponsorships on the site since the site would be Canadian dominated and the sponsor would get more bang for his dollar knowing that. Canadian results as they come in should be on the home page and set the stage for comment . Hope this may be food for thought !

  Keep your main focus on Canadian stuff. I for one would like to see more info from other provinces as well. Keep the NASCAR and other stuff as it is fun to banter with others here about that instead of going to a board where you aren't familiar with anybody. I for one like to hear the opinions of the people HERE on those topics. Even though I don't know anyone personally on here (that I know of anyways). Also there are enough Canadians running NASCAR, IRL, whatever to keep the threads going for them as well. I like the mix as it is now and use CRO exclusively. I don't want to go to any other racing boards.
  As far as getting sponsors......I really think you should reconsider going to CPT. That may help you get contacts. I know you don't know me from a hole in the ground but I would be willing to help you out in some way there. I will be going anyways and would be willing to help man a booth for a day.
