I hate to say "I told you so...."
You were mostly right there Mobil1fan, and after that I'd say I have more respect for Boys know then the others that parked early. At least he ran the race, maybe the others should learn something from him as after that race anything could have happened and they may have finished much higher. Too bad they missed the opportunity to show what they can do. But it also shows why we only have 1 full time ride in the Nationwide series as I'm guessing it wasn't their full choice to not run the owner has to support them and let them show what they got.
They weren't hired to show what they could do, only to run 2 or 3 laps during the race and collect the cheque. Nothing more, nothing less. It's that simple.
Then i guess we just have to agree to disagree on this issue as I just don't get why you would just park after a lap or two when there was potential for more since they had more experience on the track then a number of the drivers. Its not like they were gonna be getting in the way right away on the track.
Congrats to Ron Fellows and JR Motorsports for winning the rain shortened Montreal race. Second to Patrick
Carpentier . Villenuve 15 th after a rear end incident from no visibility and Ranger 29 th. Dj was in the high 20's maybe 27 th but TSN neglected to mention him. Wheeler Boys did run the entire race and finished around 31 st ? Trevor Boys, Don Thomson Jr,and Scott Steckly were all early retirements. I;m sure someone will correct the finishes as official results become available. Just going from a old man's memory for now lol. Over all a good day in the rain for the canucks of Nascar .
