There was another NCTS driver in the race DJ Kennington finished 29th 4 laps down.DJ started 34th while Andrew Ranger started 39th.Good finishes for both drivers considering who they were racing against some of the best in the business.
Well Andrew was, at the very least. DJ was probably among the bottom 5 cars for speed all night, and just seemed to let everyone go, at least from what they were showing on tv.
Ranger was side by side with him for three laps that i counted...he never shoulda been racing a lead lap car...irregardless....
I'd imagine it'd be safer to keep your pace rather than check up to let someone go and get freight-trained. At that point, I think he was still fighting like hell with the 25 for the LD position.
I haven't watched the race yet (recorded it) as I just got in the door from work, but I had my daughter text messaging me all night as to Andrew's status. 🙂
A 19th place finish for a guy that just stepped into a Busch car for the 2'nd time and his first time on an oval in a Nationwide car and Bristol to boot, did an awesome job if you ask me!
Congratulations Andrew on the fantastic job! 😉
