Thunder Cars:#87 Willie Reyns

The Feature was all Reyns & Mayhew..they were stuck bumper to bumper all race.

only real incident was about half-way threw...first of all Jeff Remington needs to relax and drive to his level...dirt tracking every turn is not helping him go any faster..and he finally lost it...clipped Crow & then Evens had no where to go and hit Crow damaging all 3 cars.

The Finish was AMAZING...Reyns won by a bumper..LITTARLY...from where I was sitting in turn-2 I cound't even tell who won until the official on the back stretch handed the flag to Wille...great great race.

Car Count:18

Ltd Late Model.

Both the Heat & Semi feature was amazing.... Parsons & Brown were stuck door-to-door and both were won by less then 1/2 of car...with Brown taking one & Parsons the other.

But Feature time it was all... Walters, Delisle was closing in..but ran out of time.

Car Count:10

Mini-Stocks.

22 Mini's came out for the 50 lap feature.

Race was going fairly clean untill the "big one" happened in turn #3, Wallance got spun...and a bunch of cars took advasive action....with Shannon Kimmerly & Shannon Moroney having to go high and they got caught togther and went hard into the outside wall...and Moroney got pinched between the wall & Kimmerly...climbed the wall and ended up on her side. Both of them were ok..and both of the cars wen't to badly damaged.

Feature was one by a very quick Nissan from Cap City:#27X ..not sure on the name sorry.

Late Models

The Feature started out messy as the 77 was slow and got jacked up into turn 1... Jackson ran into him strightend him back out...and looked like we might have avoided a yellow but a couple cars in the back spun trying to stop.

After that it was clean and green till the end with Dan Kimmerly winning....and he was fast this week...his starting position helped...but McHattie got 2nd pretty easley and could not catch him, so that shows Dan has his car working well.

Car Count:17

Welp...Kawartha is back at it Next Sunday for the "Summer Sizzler" gonna be great I can't wait!

it was Doug Mould with a very impressive debut at kawartha to win the mini stock feature

willie reyns proved tonight why he is the future of the thunder car division and one of, if not the best, young drivers in all of ontario

the hit moroney took was probably the hardest ive ever seen a mini stock go into a wall before (close second to Jay Cutting at Autumn Colours 2006)

I have post-wreck photos of Moroney's car

Ill post in a moment, the thing is more than likely a complete write off

kudos to both the kimmerlys and the moroneys for building incredibly safe cars

how both those girls got out without injury is pretty remarkable

the amazing thing is, kimmerly's car (from the outside at least) had barely a scratch on it. the thing must be solid as a rock
