In my opinion it seems kinda stupid in general to hold a full points night on a wednesday when many people could possibly have to work. What happens if someone in the points can't make it, that just sucks for them, I know I would be pissed. Besides the NCATS isn't that special to have the weekend all to themselves.

What does having NASCAR there on Sunday have to do with their regular schedule since they normally run on Friday nights?  I just hope there was a decent crowd and car count as the 3 series deserve the support.

nice size crowed ....and great car count (specially for a Wednesday)

Winners:
Mini-Stocks:Craig Willoghby
Thunder Cars:Dave Horner (filling in for Jamie Horner)
Ltd. Lates:Kyle Donaldson

aproxx. car count
MS-20
TC-22
Ltd.Lates-21

Mini Stock & Thunder Car races both went flag to flag without any yellows....was a great battle in the mini's between Craig & Shannon for the lead.

Ltd. Lates were a little messy at first...had probably about 6-8 cars in a spin fest in turn 3 on lap 1, all cars continued on. There was some pretty rough racing not a lot of guys giving each other room off the turns, 73(not sure who it was) just basically took out Dan Kimmerly .... Kimmerly got a bit loose and came down..and the 73 I guess figured let's just stay in the gas and turn him hard into the inside wall  ::).

Kyle worked his way from the back to take the lead on a re-start over Todd Delisle and they were basicly stuck nose-to-tail for many laps, then I think Todd started to change up the line a bit to try to pass...and he just started to fall back and in the end Kyle won by a fair margin

anyway..I would say KD's first mid-week show was a success, good amount of people watching and great car counts, hopefully next summer they will throw in a few mid-week shows, I would think better off doing them in July & August though.

If anyone is wondering, I believe Brandon Watson brought his LLM home in 3rd. Great run!

Oscaar fan, you must not have been an SLM fan for long. The best SLM invitational of the year back in the 80's was always the Wednesday special at Peterborough Speedway. Great crowd and great car count. I see both were good tonite and agree it will probably work even better in the summer months. BTW, I think most people can find more to do on a weekend rather than a weekday. The mid-week show is a great idea.
