I is real disappointing to hear the Wes lost his job over this reshuffling of the schedule. I also hope that the only impact that this has your trip to Michigan is a slight delay in your departure time. I don't want hear that Tony got off easy ...lol.

I too am very disappointed in the way the track has been run this year. We received schedule at the beginning of the season and we all adjust our summer around this schedule and for it to be changed for the third time this year is unacceptable. It seems to me that any time an outside series comes to the track the biggest divisions are forced to be there so they have enough gate $$$ to pay these guys, I don't know about the rest of you racers but I feel second rate and had enough. They need to look after the racers that support the track weekly and remember what side their bread is buttered ON!!!!!!!!!!!
Brad and Sue have done good job with the track but I think its time they step down and let someone else bring the facility to another level. I really don't think it's acceptable to change the schedule like they have on a whim, why bother having a schedule then!

Please, tell me who would possibly take it on and work as hard as they do to try and make it work.
I'm sorry man, but you've got to think about that before you say something like that. For all they do for the track, and what they've been getting out of it; it's not going to take much of a nudge to knock them over, cause they've already been on the fence for a while.
Unless you can think of people that'd be willing to put the time, effort and money into the track, you've got to keep helping them out, or you won't be racing anymore this year.
From what I've been hearing, the regular divisions have not been bringing out the spectators that they should be. The average spectator to car ratio is embarrassing. Unfortunately, Brad and Sue are far too busy with everything that goes on at the track to have time to get out and promote the track themselves more often, but I have always felt that promoting the track and races is a big part of being a driver/team member. It's better for everyone at the track if you promote the races more to the public. The more people that show up obviously helps the track out, but it'll also help you get more sponsorships, and driver exposure.
I'm not saying that no one is doing their part, as there are a lot of teams out there that help out a lot and bring out a lot of people, but everyone has got to do their part to help make GBS a success, then they won't have to pull this stuff on the racers just to make it to the next race.
It sucks that they keep throwing curve balls all the time, and it's a kick in the nuts, and I'm not saying that it's right for them to do it, BUT they've got A LOT more to lose in this deal than anyone else here does. Remember that.
Corey.

Unfortunately Murray there will now be no trip for me to see my first ever Nascar race in Michigan this coming weekend because now that my son has lost his job our racing budget has been changed and in order for him to finish out this year we are going to have to use the money that was saved for this nascar adventure and put it towards his share of racing expenses.
However I hope you all have a safe race this coming weekend as I will not be coming to the track this weekend either.
And on a lighter note I wish to say a huge THANK YOU to Rob James for the phone call he made to me last night, you helped me to remember there is light at the end of the tunnel and your kind and warm words were very much needed, so thank you for that.
