i'm assuming once upon a time he was a regular saturday night (or friday night) guy like the rest of us.

where did he get his start? and when?

I've asked a couple people and no one seems to know for sure...I'm sure SOMEONE on this board must know the answer

Spencer, the answer to that one would be Sauble Speedway. Scott used to drive late models there back in the day. I can remember him coming to Sunset for invitationals with the likes of Glenn Schnurr, Alex Hamilton and others coming from Sauble to race with Walters and others. Would of been somewhere in the early 90's if I'm remembering correctly. But Sauble Speedway is definitely the home track of one Mr. Steckly.

Cool thanks for the info I wasnt aware of that personally Tim!! Maybe Scott indeed started at Varney in Super Steets. Learn something new every day!!LOL Was he a regular at Varney then?? Or a Sauble car making the trek fairly regular a la Todd Davenport of the modern day era?? Cause I wasnt sure on the years I saw him race at Sunset in the invitationals but I think it could of been 93 or 94. I do remember having a program of him winning at Sunset then too.
