It sure would be nice if there was a 32 car field!!
We have entered Bryan Cathcart #71 for Cayuga, with no primary sponsor at this time, and we are still working on the deal for the #20 car which should be put to bed by next Tuesday. Unless we can find a sponsor this could be the only race we run all year in the NASCAR series.
On a brighter note... Cayuga started paving today and when we go to race there we will find a new pit road with new ashpalt.
Everyone can leave there wead wackers at home for this show- Thanks to the support of the new owners of Cayuga Speedway.
As well- The track has a huge tent set up already- the stage arrived today for the Rock Concert on race weekend, the grand stands look to be completely repainted, the grounds are spotless, and the track is in great shape.
We tested there today from 8AM to 1PM and for the first time in years we actually had a group of spectators show up to watch. I mean real race fans. I mean we had more people there today then we had at the race two years ago.
Hat's off to Jerry, Tim, Carrol and the rest of the crew at Cayuga.
The place is actually starting to look like the Crown Jewel of Canada again !!.
Well, I guess limiting the number of cars making the show is one way to increase the purse...On a bigger track like that, it'd be nice to see them do like at NHIS and see them start virtually everyone...
Barrie site has pics of the Dodge boys at practise. Its too bad that Cayuga is running Sat nite. I'm sure alot of racers and fans from Flammy and Merrittville would like to be there to see the re birth. This weekend its Friday Ohsweken, Saturday Flammy, Sunday Sauble or Varney, Monday Merrittville. Can fans get sponsors? Lol.
Crash you mean I missed you at Ohsweken 🙁 I bet you saw me though. The boys had a great run. Rob Pratt was fast in the Sportman P38.....Woohoo!!
You will have to let me know when you are all there so I can look around and say hi. I saw a lot of smilin' faces. That was super to see. It was great to be back at the track. Wow and here I thought racewoman could go without it. Crash you need to race on dirt man!
Some people say dirt is for growing potatoes. I say it is for playing in. Get out and play buddy. If it gets a big heavy dew (r ain) you can always go puddle jumping 😉
Too bad you guys and gals won't be able to make it out to Cayuga, it is going to be a great show. It is always a hard call on what day to run the race as all around us here we have great tracks running all weekend. Dirt adn payment what a great place we live in.
Good luck today to Britt......did you get a car ready yet for yourself to drive? If so good luck. I will have to make it out some Saturday night to watch you all race.
I believe it was Doug Brown driving the #10 mini Stock at Ohsweken ??? and not his son. He was DQed Not sure why though. Hope everything works out for next weekend.
