When I called last week, I also asked about the status of Sirius Canada with the pending merger between Sirius and XM, I was told that Sirius and Sirius Canada were operated as separate entities and there shouldn't be any affect on them. (I personally think we'll have to wait and see on this though). So, I think this would provide the opportunity to air the NCTS races on a dedicated channel if they chose to do so. Even if it was a part time channel.
You can also contact Sirius Canada through their website and ask about airing NCTS races. I've done this also and now awaiting their response.

Evan, if you're looking for racing coverage, go with Sirius. If you're looking for music selection and talk shows, either one would be OK. You still get some Canadian racing tidbits on the Sirius Nascar station and a lot of callers are from Canada. I chose Sirius for their racing coverage. They air all the Nascar races. Also, when I go down to the races, I can listen the pre-race and post-race shows on MRM and PRN without losing the local radio signals. I would like to see this model copied for Canadian racing.

I had xm for a couple of years til they switched all the nascar stuff to sirius. There is no comparison. Sirius does a way better job than xm ever did. I miss not getting Dale jr.'s or Jimmie Johnson's talk shows. I wish they would trade them for Tony Stewarts show because he doesn't do a very good job of his. (just my opinion though). Get the sirius and  you'll hardly ever change the channel.

I enjoy Sirius as well, it's always tuned to 128 or 65.

I sent an e-mail to Sirius inquiring about the possibility of airing NCTS races.

Received the following response from Sirius.

At this time we have not yet received any information as to when or if Sirius Canada will provide the Nascar Canadian Tire Series. We are forwarding your comments and suggestions to the appropriate programming department for further consideration. Keep checking out our website for future updates. Have a nice day.

Maybe programming would have to consider it if there is enough interest from subscribers.

It is really so misleading and that is the intention of it. I thought that they were doing it as it would make sense as it says presented by Sirius ad what do they do??

That is what bothers me on this. I would love to hear the races on the radio as much as the next person.
