Steve Roblee's CASCAR Cougar from 1989. Don Mallat also ran the earlier style body with the funky rear window as a Late Model for several years in the 80s at Checkered Flag but not in CASCAR.

As far as I can recall Whitlock only ran T-Birds and not the Cougar. This is from 1989 but I recall a similar T-Bird in 1990 at the CNE and also in 1991.

Actually he did run that one in CASCAR. I have pics. Once I get my scanner up and running. You mean the reddish rust colored one?

Great picture of the '89 steel bodied Cougar. The panels were OEM from Ford. Steve only ran it for one year. He won the Delaware and Super Series Championships with it.

I ran all the "series" races in Florida, as soon as I figure out how to post pics on this site I'll walk a few of you down memory lane. Unfortunatley most of the pics invovle my car but include some others as well.  We turned some heads down there cause their corners were so wide we could run three abreast and it just felt like a normal corner at Delaware!  And we ran an inversion, something they hadn't hearsd of.
