Hello fellow racers and fans-ex-CASCAR west team here. Has anybody heard anything else on the Canadian Tire Series? I thought that the Toronto newspaper quoted Nascar as saying something should be out the first week or so of Jan. Looks like we have somewhere to race out here-Saskatoon has stepped up to the plate and expanded their sportsman series to us. Quite decent actually-its going to take a little fine tuning, but at least I don't have to park my cars, or spend $30,000 more on each of them for one NCTS race out here. What are your sportsman guys doing? Did you get a track or tracks to step up and give you guys a series? Hope so. Good luck to all of you in 07-hope everything works out. Paul

Didn't you guys get the memo?Don't worry, unless you are on the double-extra super top secret approved list, you won't get one. Also, you are banned from speculating or even wondering what next season may hold, beware the thought police are watching your postings-they are even telling anyone who questions their ways (me,for one) not to attend races in 2007 that they haven't even scheduled yet!Hopefully I can still shop at Canadian Tire and Mark's Work Wearhouse, good thing they don't have a current picture... 🙄

If they told me to not attend any races I would listen. Consdiering the fact that I have brought numerous fans to the series in the past few years by touting how good it is and got people to watch it on tv, I would bring some other peple away from the races as well. Sure maybe a few people don't mean anyhting to them, BUT I think it is safe to say that the only true fans of the series pretty much make up this message board and if you tick us off, you lose a good solid fan base and good word of mouth for the series. I am pissed off enugh about it no longer being CASCAR and sure I would miss the drivers but I would gladly switch to OSCAAR or other series or go backt o my roots, DIRT Motorsports. OF course I would not associate myself with NASCAR in general anymore either if they want to treat me that way. For an organization that seems to be all about the fans, they sure don't carry that philosophy across the border.

P.S. the Chase is a sad state of affairs and is the worst thing to happen to NASCAR

I wonder if I will be getting a police phone call for this now or told not to come to the races...

By the way, I have always defneded CASCAr in its lack of a schedule in time to suit the drivers and fans' in their planning but I critisized when necessary. I know running a series is not easy and I could probably not do any better BUT I am not an idiot either like the prganization running this new series seems be. Can someone answer the following question for me!
WE ARE THE ********* FANS. HOW HARD IS IT TO RELEASE SOME NEWS ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE SERIES? It sure would be nice to be shown that they value us and want to give us ANY information. Ill go back to my exmaple on another topic. MErrittville Speedway is on the message board talkng to fans, they also have bews releases every week about new ahppenings and development.s Im sure a "series" and NASCAR could come up with somethign to tell us!
