I was in my local Canadian Tire yesterday. After I found what I wanted, I went for a look around the store. I wanted to see if they were selling any NCATS related material - hats, shirts, diecasts, any other kind of promotional stuff. Didn't see a thing.
Is there any NCATS (series or team related) promotional stuff out there? If there is, I'd think about putting it on my Christmas list.
There wasn't anything available for NCATS in 2007. I asked one of my suppliers about this in the summer and was told that there were no programs for merchandise planned. I also asked about the availability in 2008, and was told maybe, but nothing definite. If I hear anything I'll post something.
Surprising, isn't it? When NASCAR bought CASCAR I thought "now we're gonna see some marketing". I knew it wouldn't happen right away but I figured they would have stuff out by Christmas. Bring on those diecasts!
I would suggest you take a few moments and send Canadian tire a email with what you would like to see in there stores maybe they will get the mesage and start a little more promo stuff that we as customers would like to see and get. it will only help motorsports in Canada , I would also send a copy to nascar and nascar Canada let them also know ever bit will also help the teams that seem to always struggle with funding
That is an excellent idea, mech1. I guess teams would get a cut on diecasts and other items that were team specific. That would be great.
