Wow!........a Sunday night race in mid-September that starts at 6:10 p.m.!!!........are they TRYING to make it difficult for the average workin' stiff to be a fan here?....Those of us a few hours west of Toronto are looking at a pretty late not to mention cool night. The fan count should be an indicator of the success of this format.........I will be there but several racing fan friends won't be making the trek due to the 7-3 day shift.
I hear ya on the strange time of start but that wasn't decided by the track from what I heard. In regards to the ticket sales sounds like the numbers are gonna be big. My father picked up their tickets at Wednesday's event and was told to be prepared to stand in line or get there early. Also with the nice weather this weekend we won't have to bundle up anything like we did for the ACT race last weekend.LOL
Well, I had planned on packing up the camper and bringing the grand kids up to see it, but that won't be happening. I may come up on my own, not sure yet???
I would think the Casino at Kawartha would see the most action Saturday night and the Race track will be packed with RV,s and fans for Sunday. This should be a good race as Kawartha always puts on a great show and provides a spotless race track for everyone to enjoy. I will agree with most that a Sunday Race is hard to take, but to run it Sunday Night is even more of a burden for Fans and Teams alike.
Either way you look at it, it is the last race of the season for the NASCAR CTS and most fans will take it in even if they didnt go green till 9PM..... That's Racin !!
I plan on heading out at 9am to get in line for gate opening at 11 since I was told there was plenty of tickets sold already and don't want to get stuck sitting on the first row of one of those portable grandstands.LOL
