Yes, the fall is pretty good too, I used to go to a few ghost towns in Ontario usually in the fall.

It's quite odd that any of these places exist, you would think that whoever owns the land would use it for some kind of development. I guess we're lucky to see these places.

blkflagagain - I'm glad you like it. Check out the rest of the site when you get a chance. There's tons more.

barrie97ps - in the top aerial photo you can see another, larger oval around the paved oval. The larger one is the old horse track that was also used for stock car racing before the paved track was built. I don't know the exact dates for it but it would have been the early - mid 1950's.  The paved track was built in 1956.

That horse track would no doubt be a 1/2 mile!!! Too bad it didnt still exist!!!! would of been great to have a half mile here in Simcoe County today!!
