I am guessing the 20 weekends are non-NCATS dates.....

This is good news! I just got in from work 5:00 in the morning so my head isn't the clearest. How many nationwide races are there, 30+ I think. Hopefully, if Petey doesn't get anywhere with Roush or another big team this year, maybe we'll see Petey in it when DJ's not in the car. 😉

Getting his license should not be a problem.  His speeds looked pretty good in the Daytona test, wasn't that far off the the fast guys.  With some work he should be OK for the Feb. race.  Although there weren't a whole lot of cars at the test, and who knows how many will show for the race. 
I will be good to have some one to root for during the races now.  I just hope that the T.V. guys pick up that there's a grass roots short track racer, that is Canadian, in the show. 

I also wonder why Castrol doesn't step up and support this venture, I would have thought they would be all over that.

judging by the most recent release he got his licence , and a sponsor for the daytona race
