A buddy of mine put it best. "They have their favouries, and if you ain't one, you might as well stay home."
ya kno that local crap goes both ways...
i got all kinds of stories about my travels at barrie, sauble, varney and sunset during my racing....not saying it doesnt happen at flammy just if it does i can tell u i think it does elsewhere....
I agree tracks do have their favorites, but sometimes- moreso this deal,it gets a little obvious to other rcaers and the fans !!
The 89 is the Flamboro Track Champion and should know better.
I am sure if he waited until turns 3 and 4, Didero#24 would have let him go as he always does if someone is faster. Besides that, the #24 was a true blue Rookie in that race driving that car for the very first time and his very first time ever in a Late Model.
I think, and I know many racers will have their different view on this, but Black Flags are used to control races, warn a Driver of a leakey Oil Pan, thrown at a Racer who decides to drive through other cars instead of racing them clean, and for car's that are off the pace.... but to use them for tapping a guy that just spun you out.... way out of line !!
If they used the Black Flag like it is supposed to be used, it would save everyone else on the race track a ton of money in body parts and torn up chassis. Teach the guys to race clean by using the flag and prestowe! you have good clean racing and a bigger car count.
The deal was the first flammy car was behind you , I have the whole race on tape and it will be up tonight after I edit it some more. cause youtube only allows 15 min. The out of towners killed the homies so it is was it is. You drove a great race dude so keep that in mind. Spent 2 years there and WASN"T one of the blessed. Now you you know car counts are down and the stands are EMPTY.
The officiating on Sunday was terrible at best. The demo durby that was the 2nd late model feature started before the green even came out when the 75 (the pole sitter) pretty much stopped in turn 4. I have never seen that on a start in my life. The worst thing was the starter sill threw the green! so much for keeping the pace car speed. The race pretty much went downhill from there.
