What really makes you wonder about the fan issue at Flammy, is the fast it is located 5 from Hamilton.  With 500,000 people and surrounding area there is no reason not to have good crowds on a regular basis.

Might be time for some younger managment.

I was one of the fans there and thought something was up when I could see no food concessions open upon arrival. Frank was manning the ticket booth and said as there were no food concessions open, just sign the waver sheet he had and we could go to the pits. That was a long walk for a coffee (could have driven to Hortons in Waterdown in the same length of time) but it was like they were expecting no fans with the food concession situation. It was a pretty good day, except for the wind, but we've all been colder at various tracks over the years and wasn't bad if you wore layers. I think a number of fans stayed in the pits rather than running back and forth so there may have been 100-200 fans which is still nothing to write home about. Felt sorry for the nice old couple who run the t shirt stand as they stayed open for about ten minutes.
It just makes me think that the back gate pretty well pays everything.

Brought the kids out for their first race ever and they had a blast! I was ready to go after King Of the Hill but, they insisted to stay. Little troopers! I've been working at Varney for five years and have never really had the opportunity to share a race with them.

Really windy, and chilly off and on but, the racing was great. Officiating...not so much. I don't want to draw attention to specifics and you've already read most of them here but, talk about favouritism. I think a few Flamboro regulars got the benefit of the call. As far as the 32 and 78 goes...you hate to see that happen for any reason. I'm sure marv had his reasons. i will say this, Chenoweth was fast all day and might have been the car to beat. Just my opinion.

Saw some familiar faces in the pits. the kids sure didn't mind watching from back there. Always the place to be at any race track.

Good to see some Varney regulars. Congrats to #83 Scott Way. Didn't see the final feature but, a heat race win and upfront all day was pretty impressive. #69 Brian Wilson, with the newly purchased Nissan fro Doug Butler, looked pretty good too. I'm sure he will be a contender at Varney next season. #35 Gary Elliot in Tolton's car...too bad you weren't in it Tim. Gary held his own but, it's your car and you could have been up front I'm sure.

I haven't been to Flamboro for quite a few years and loved the track. Short corner and long straights...a lot different thatn the "highbanks". Weird how they don't draw fans in the grandstand. For some reason, an issue I've never had to worry about at Varney.

Thanks Casales' for a great show.

That's my point....they didn't always use it when they should have. The same driver complaints at every track....not enough black flags until you get one. Then there's too many.
