Oh...I doubt it'll happen. It's a little late in the game now.
I'm only pointing out that in years past, if you got your little handy-dandy schedule to stick on your fridge, the next two Sundays after Labor day were always listed as rain dates.
And those regular Sun afternoon races were great. I'm the odd man out that actually prefers daytime racing, so it was pretty cool. They were quite well attended too. But then, this was in the early CASCAR days, when Robblee was still in the 32 and Barry Harmer was the champ. Bob Hulme was the top dog in Street Stock and there was no such thing as mods or trucks yet.

The competitors deserve a double feature night the points are way to close and everyone deserves a chance.
It would be a shame not getting it in.
The only advantage to a double feature nights is if the team you're close in points with, has a bad night.
Makes no difference otherwise. There's a lot of competitors out there that wouldn't wish that on someone.
And I guess I'll be the one to say it. How about a double payout night to make up for the one the SS are short.
They paid twice at the back gate and had the double feature averaged and paid out as a single night.
I believe the mods are 2 payouts behind too.
BTW - good call on the weather. It poured out here starting right near national anthem time and continued through alot of the night.
The rain has certainly messed the season up so far. However, I believe all races were caught up (not necessarily the payouts) and so really we are talking about "losing" one race.
I agree with From the Stands - the only way a double really helps anyone in the points is someone has a bad night. Not a great way for any team to end the season.
I think one good race for the championship would be a more fitting end to the race season. 🙂
It seems to me that most teams are not in favor of double features. They should really have the first say. True, like fromthestands says, its unlikely to change much in the way of points. (Points are over-emphasized anyway IMO)
As far as I can tell, the only team that would want a second feature is maybe the one that is 1 or 2 points back at the end of the scheduled one.
