However, the 1/4 page ad in today's LFP shows "11:00 am Spectator Gates Open"

Trevor once again proves, he knows this speedway very well.

The gate times, while they were set at 12:00 noon in some internal itineraries, were reported at 11:00 am in many of the ads that were printed in a number of newspapers this morning based on an earlier version of that timeline.

In light of this morning's mass circulation, spectator gates will open at 11:00 am on Sunday, September 6 for the Total APC 300.  The itinerary on Delawarespeedway.com has been updated to reflect this.

On behalf of the speedway, I apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused.  On the bright side, this will allow fans into the facility a bit earlier to take in the sights and sounds of one of the most highly anticipated race days of the year, not to mention enjoy the second last chance of the year to pick up our famous giant "Dela-dogs" from the concesssion stand.  With a few track rentals today and a handful of campers arriving behind the backstretch it is gearing up to be a very exciting weekend.  A handful of drivers have also been added to our probable entries list for the Total APC 300, which continues to grow.

Tickets are still available through the speedway website at this link: http://www.delawarespeedway.com/GCRWTickets.php - - single day reserved seating is now available.

I was wondering about this as well.... good to know an offical time now.

I planed to leave at 10am (with a stop for lunch)  so I should get there around 1pm. Question for the  the regular Delaware crowd will that be early enough to get a good seat?    I know last year I showed up at about 12:45ish and it was plenty early enough, but I'v been told by somebody that I may want to show up a bit earlyer

Racing actually starts at 2:30. Lets just say if the crowd numbers are in the ballpark as the last few years, you should be fine. I'd come earlier...but that's me. I think our crowd will be bigger than is has been the last couple seasons.
