This is great! Thanks for chipping in with all the photos guys.
Excellent work by the community at large.
And yes Silverstone, let me know next time you want to come down. I'll give you the dime tour and you can join us for the races.
To bring up a point brought up by someone else...about us having a reputation for being a one groove track. I believe the reality is that it really was never that bad to start with...but it got said enough that folks began to assume its true.
I believe it was generally overstated.
We've always had some guys that worked the outside pretty well, but more who didn't. The inside lane is usually the shortest way around no matter how good the surface is or what track you're on.
Besides...they paved the frontstretch and a small section of turn 3. The rest of the track, and especially the turns, are the same as when everyone was complaining about the surface - so I think that says something right there.
Stick is the main choice, with the SS, they can run both Auto and stick. The 99 was the only metric car on saturday, there are 2 in the division #71, I don't know what the story is there.
It was a great show, really cool to see DJ win.
Great report for both nights shadow.
are they top 10 cars? the metrics?
They can be if you work on them
Ya, the #99 is a competitive front runner in a Metric.
And yes, they can be. Dan Bugg was plenty competitive in his too, before his engine trouble.
