Ok guys, back in the saddle this week, so to speak. Great night tonight...rocking good crowd and some hot racing.Didn't get much in the way of details about the truck feature, except to say that Powell won, followed by the 33 truck. (According to the announce team, the 33 was piloted this week by Chris Rijnen.) Fothergill might've been 3rd or 4th. Sounded like a wild race, but I mostly missed it. Details will be up soon on the Delaware site I'm sure.Peterbilt Super StockSuper Stock was a fun race... a tribute of sorts was made to Dave Lawrence who passed away this week last year, and it bacame quickly apparent that there was a good sized bunch of guys who wanted to win this race.The race starts with your polesitter, Dave Silverthorne in Jens Peters 66 car, with 93-Meyer alongside, followed by 51-Rabideau and 11-Lidster, then 28- Manning and 24-Richmond. Notably absent is Monaghan, and I'm pretty sure Bugg wasn't there either. (Maybe they had tix for the big one in Michigan.)At the green flag, its Meyer with the early lead, followed closely by Silverthorne, Rabideau and Manning. A couple laps later, 2 Rijnen makes a move that slips him past Rabideau and Manning, but Silverthorne had other ideas about letting the 2 car by, making contact with him in turn 2, and allowing Manning to slip past them both and into 2nd.Now Manning goes to work on the 93 car, trying high and low, while Rijnen, 77-Lake, 98-Morneau and 87-Ouellete all form up in a tight pack right behind them. Morneau bobbles, looking like maybe there'd been side by side cantact with Rijnen. Eventually, Manning makes the pass for 1st, but he brings along Ouelette as well. Ouellette looks hungry, but he's got Rijnen right on his bumper to deal with. This allows Manning to develop a small lead. It was at this point where I personally thought I saw Oullette begin to smoke a bit, but no matter, because 4-Hewitt breaks down bringing out the caution.At the restart, Manning once again pulls away while the pack battles. Great duel between Lake and Morneau for 4th. Then the caution flies as Perkins, Rabideau and 88 (whoever was driving it this week) get mixed up in turn 3. Bit of damage for the 3 car.Next restart, Manning is pulling away again. Now the order is Manning, Ouellette, Rijnen, Morneau, Lake...and 24-Richmond decides to join the fray. Now the laps are ticking down. Morneau is pushing Rijnen hard. Then disaster nearly strikes for Manning who gets squirrelly in turn 2 and Ouellette almost gets by him. Its a drag race down the backstretch between the 28 and 87. They go around 3-4 side by side, then down the frontstretch, bouncing off each other...much like the Kurt Busch/Ricky Craven finish at Darlington a couple years ago. And still the 87 can't quite get by. Now the top 4 are 2x2 for the last couple laps, and you can throw a blanket over all four of them. But in the end, the crowd fave, Manning and the the 28 car come home in 1st. Second to Ouellette, 3rd to Rijnen, 4th to Lake and 5th to Richmond. (now that I think of it, I'm unsure where Morneau ended up.)And there is much rejoicing, and a couple tears, in victory lane. Nice race! APC Late ModelIts pretty tall order to top the fireworks from 2 weeks ago. Although no one ended up playing hans-device frisbee this week, it was still a great race.Your front row is 106-Wild and 27-Box. When the green flies, the two front guys are almost immediately passed by 86-Forth. After the first couple laps shake out, the order is Forth, 43-Doerr, 77-Verhoeven, and 10-Kennedy.Doerr makes an early attempt to pass, but Forth manages to use some lapped traffic to keep him at bay. The caution flies early as Pearn spins, possibly after some contact with Lindsay. Theres a restart, then another caution as 1-Fletcher and 91-Brown are both involved in incidents. At this point, Brown comes dow the frontstretch, sparks-a-flying because both right side tires are blown.After the second restart and at lap 15, 42-Stewart is knocking on Kennedy's door for 4th while up front, Doerr is till trying to get around Forth. And by lap 17, Doerr finally makes the pass, bringing Verhoeven along with him. Now the order is Doerr, Verhoeven, Kennedy, Forth, Hooker, Lindsay and Urlin.Kennedy starts the battle for second spot, trying to outmaneuver Verhoeven. Eventually, Kennedy get a nose under, and the two make side by side contact, both getting sideways in 1-2. Kennedy saves it, while Verhoeven does not. Caution.After the restart, Lindsay makes the pass on Hooker to take 4th and goes to work on Forth...who's third. (sheesh...how many Forth/Fourths/4ths can you use in a sentence?) Forth and Lindsay touch and get wiggly together, and Hooker manages to slip past both and into 3rd spot.By the closing laps, Kennedy is all over Doerr's back bumper and using every trick in his bag to get around him, but no go. Kudos to Jesse for keeping it clean when he could have so easily just...

thanks for the report,but you left me hanging.......I'm in Richmond Hill for the Minor hockey day of Champions.The team of 9 yr olds that I coach WON the OMHA'S,so I missed Delaware 🙁 Sounds like a great night of racing!I guess I'll have to wait until I get home,on Sunday night,to talk to Ray.Thanks again,and CONGRATS to the #28 TEAM!

heh, sorry Chip. I knew I was doing that to you too. He was up there...probably 6th or something. I only count back as far as 5 usually.

Brian is now back in the 88 car for the remainder of the season. He raced the camaro last night.

Brian is now back in the 88 car for the remainder of the season. He raced the camaro last night.

was that the car that is normally the mcroberts fuels enduro car?

yes that is owned by Jeremy Reid he has made it into a street stock , Brian's car is just about back together he hope's to have it ready for the next SS race

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm sure the announcers said it was Brian...I just didn't hear the intros.

That camaro is a pretty sweet looking machine!
