It seems like every race reporter puts away his pen once the features are over. We never hear anything about King of the Hill ... there was a lot of excitement, some wreckage and very close racing in the final, ... for the end of another year.

That's fine but KotH is not my bag. I liked it better when it was just for bragging rights. The fact that they are offering up as much (or more) to win than some feature winners doesn't sit right with me. I'd rather report on the guys that are in the shop slugging away week in and week out. (and paying full pop to get in the back gate too.)

And besides, if I didn't bug out when I did, there might not have been a report at all. I had to be up early this morning to work.

Funny though, I've been doing this for 5 years and this is the first time anyone's said anything about that.

Sid if you are reading this what is the front clip you have based your new chassis off of .our car has a tube rear clip built by mccalls based off the measurements of the original nova .Therfore stronger and less flexy than the original but still measures the same .Now this being said I have never measured an original nova and can only assume our chassis is stock spec as mccall is a legit builder knowing we have no desire to cheat.

This isn't about cheating. The car, thus far, has only been used as a show car and has yet to be entered into anything. It's perfectly legal for that!

This is about the idea of opening up the rulebook. Now Sid came at me because I was wrong about it being an old CASCAR chassis. What I should have said is an old CASCAR style chassis.

And if it's not that then please correct me. Fact is, most of the SS pits seem to think that's exactly what it is. And as we all know, perception is reality, remember?

Listen, I have no vested interest in this, other than as a hardcore Super Stock fan. And these rumored changes to the Super Stock rulebook are only rumors because so far its all happened behind closed doors, which is utter BS considering it's one of the lower divisions on the totem pole. There should be full disclosure and NO secrets. And thus far, no one's come forward and said 'here's what's actually going on" yet.

Rumors don't come from internet chatter. Rumors come from secrecy.

And hey...if there's some kind of plan and its a good one I'm all over it. That car looks great and a field of Camaros, Mustangs and Challengers would be awesome to behold. These guys know they'll have no bigger supporter than me.

However I'm just stuck thinking that this sounds suspiciously like Powerade Modifieds part 2.

Just trying to keep it honest.

Bottom line is as the rules are written right now that car can not be raced at Delaware Speedway. Even the Mustang that runs at Sunset could not be run at Delaware. Don't get me wrong, it is a very cool piece but this brings up a couple questions from a fans point of view. Do SS teams have the money to build show cars now or is this being contemplated for 2011?
