"Select invited V8 Stocks will supporting the competition in the Demar Aggregates Truck division starting this Friday, June 7. V8 Stock drivers were who will be giving the division a boost were selected based on their performance in previous events, strong quality of competition, and lap times which will be competitive in the series. The drivers who have been invited have already been contacted.
Demar Aggregates Truck drivers, the majority of which were reached by telephone late Wednesday afternoon, expressed support for the speedway’s initiative. Drivers from both sides of the car / truck divide shared their excitement for the upcoming events, which include competition on Saturday, June 15 running support to the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event.
The invited V8 Stock drivers will be racing for posted awards but not for championship points. For the purposes of the truck points system, only trucks in the race will be counted for points. The opening race of the evening will also be a trucks only event as it is already one lap in progress from when rain fell during last week’s event."
I'll reserve judgement until I see the result. Lets hope we get a decent race weather day Friday.

I think that idea has been bouncing around for a while now. Wasn't that almost offered up as a solution for the SS guys that didn't want to go to the "next gen" SS?
Anyway, can't hurt. Much as I love the trucks, you can't survive on a 10 car field either. Plus I think it'll be fun.
