I was just woundering if anyone has herd if any of the top runners that missed the last race will be there?  I am really hoping that there is more than 50 cars out there. Good luck to all and have a good but clean race.

50 cars sounds like a full track....anyone know what's the record for the most enduros in a race?

Over 200 in the 80s Spindoctor

That's one of those numbers that keeps getting better with age. (sort of like the crowd counts fro SLM racing in the 70s)

I'm sure we might have cracked 200 for the biggie at the end of the year...from time to time, but 120 - 150 was a far more common occurrence even at endurance racing's peak. That was parked at a standstill with the front row on the start line, bumper to bumper, 3 wide, and stretched all the way around to the backchute entrance to the pits (Where they park the ambulance)

They started back then from a standing start, and the guys on the back row were literally lapped while they were still sitting there waiting to move.

It was nuts back then for sure, and with all those junkers on the track at the same time, the hazy cloud of crap in the air over the speedway was astounding.  😀

ya those were the days of good enduros. Not how fast your car was, Not how much money was in it, but more along the lines can you finish the 250 laps. Lots of fun to watch, but even more fun to run.
