How did it go, and who all was there?

Great day, probably one of the smoothest running practice days in years!  A number of new late models out there.  Great attendence for the first day of practice - quite a few fans on the hill too, especially considering the temperature!  Now THAT'S dedication!

Pictures and a video coming later...  Shadowracer, sorry I missed you - - I heard you were up on the hill, but I just did not see you! 😮

No prob jr52. I wasn't there for long. Real life got in the way and I had to skedaddle after only about a 1/2 hour.

Everyone was looking pretty sharp from what I saw. A few new paintjobs, but not many as far as I could see.

As for who was there, here's what I saw.

Street Stock
98 Morneau
3 Perkins
77 Darrell Lake
99 Scott Nagy
24 Stephen Richmond, as of yet unpainted.
71 Dan Bugg (spiffy new day glo orange paintjob)
28 Manning (spiffy new black & grey livery)
2 Rijnen - looks like a new nova, nice red, with Remax as a sponsor.
I was a little disappointed I didn't get to see Monoghan's groovy new Camaro. Maybe next week.

LM's
(I think a few of the guys may have left by the time I'd gotten there.)
-86 Forth
-10 Kennedy with his new orange and blue.
-4 Urlin (I'd assume it was Urlin.) He looked like he was pushing the car to see what he could do with it...I noticed him getting squiggly on a couple of occasions.
-And two cars both numbered 27. One was a black Taurus Cascar-ish looking car, and the other was unpainted just with the numbers taped on. Keen to know who those guys were.

Open Wheelers

Again only a handful by the time I got there. I didn't see any new guys or new liveries, but in attendance were:
39 McCullogh
7 Starr
3 Cox
89 Morris
1 Newman
54 Limon

After the mods pulled out, I had to go. I did notice a lot of trucks and enduros in the pits, and I also noticed a lot of guys leaving already. On my way to the speedway I passed a number of race car trailers on the way home...so I'm thinking the pits were pretty full.

Sorry guys, thats all I got. We'll try again next week. I think I may have more time to spend, and can hopefully get pitside and get some up close looks.

the black 27 was matt robblee running VERY well in the OSS car.........there weren't all that many late models and open wheels all day, you probably saw most of them, first practice days arent normally all that popular anyways.......track conditions arent all that comparable to what will be raced on, most use it as a quick little shake down day.
