The orange markers are actually numbers, they have been used in the past for lining up autograph sessions or starting grids.  The paint is expected to eventually fade off, from what I understand.

Those markers were stickers placed on the track for the Richard Petty Driving Experince, marking a safe line around the track that students were following.
