and almost a local (for us Niagara guys), 18 year old Erick Rudolph from Ransomville NY finished tenth in the Whelen Modified Tour race. Race was shown on a 45 minute delay on Speed and was edited down to an hour. No restrictor plates but Nascar made them run an extra hard right side tire which wouldn't put down any rubber and open up a second lane. Don't want to embarass the higher Nascar divisions I guess.
Erick is former Lancaster SST & Tour type mod champ. Also won a Microsprint race at Merrittville Ontario last season and this year competes at Ransomville on Fridays in a Dirt mod and Lancaster on Saturdays in a full blown mod when not on the Whelen tour. One busy kid who is going places.
(ps-don't you think Speed could have dropped one of their stupid drag racing quiz shows to show the whole mod tour race,but that would be asking too much from a network that absolutely stinks since being taken over by FOX? Guess the tow truck and pseudo drag racing programs are cheap to produce over actual motorsports coverage.)

Reality shows on SPEED network.... yes it stinks. I have to agree with you on this one, and a lot of their programming lends itself to younger generation it seems. Even though I am don't consider myself old by any stretch, I find myself complaining to the TV, asking it to stop showing me this dribble.  "I'ma gonna write that network a letter" my dad would say..... where's my pen/paper......
