I wonder what if anything has changed, That story is pretty old. If this was the case why wasn't a formal recall notice sent to everybody? Why didn't we hear about it at let's say the driver's meeting or recieved an email.  >:(

I just Googled 'impact hans' and that was the first hit, there may be newer info.

I'm sure it only applies to helmets purchased with the anchor clips installed at Impact.  If your retailer installed them or you didn't buy a helmet that included them, then I wouldn't expect any notice, especially if you didn't register it.  Not curious enough to look into it further, we don't have any impact helmets.

I think the problem here is, if they are willing to cheat on something like the labels isn't the problem systemic? What else would they cheat on. Equipment sent to testing diff. then equipment produced etc. You never really know, but you have to try and apply common sense to protect yourself. These things at this kind of level are not usually one offs.

Pure speculation, If in fact they are guilty of breaking their contract with SFI by using ill-gotten labels then thats what they are guilty of. You can't assume that they are using inferior quality parts in the assembly of anything. The Hans deal may be a short thing to produce your anchor but it is wrong? why not make a part to work with somebody elses system? Putting somebody elses label on it...well thats just beyond retarded
