Don't make the truck bone stock, i would have no interest in racing them then. we don't need the truck to handle more like tanks.  I want to race something that is fast and handles decent. (so trucks is probably not the division for me)  One reason i think there is no 4 wide racing is because if you go into the corner beside someone they are likely going to hit you and some one will get wrecked. As for tires, you don't have to buy many, new tire will make you a bit faster, but a good setup will give a far bigger advantage.

if it was up to john there would only be bonestocks....

This is a common myth / smear which is used against me on a regular basis that I would like to put a stop to.

This is not an official statement from the track, but a collection of personal thoughts on this:

The Bone Stocks / Chaos Car platform is one that I exercised a great deal of direct input on over the past 5 years, and while I am proud of what the drivers have accomplished in growing the class and demonstrating its viability, a replacement for any of the Weekly Racing Programs it is not.

The Bone Stocks are part of the overall speedway program and provide an entry-level option on a budget and at the time of its creation filled a hole in the track's programming that was previously filled by the original 1990's type Enduro.  The goal of the Bone Stock series is to bring new people into the program and hopes to ultimately see them join current Enduro, Truck or Super Stock divisions.

I didn't "invent" Bone Stock Chaos Cars.  I simply duplicated a successful model from the speedway's past, the five-year evolution of which is the current Bone Stock Series.  The competitors are truly the ones who have been the driving force behind the program since it began.

The Bone Stock Series is in many ways a feeder program.  It was part of a realization on the part of the track that it would be very intimidating for a regular spectator to make the jump straight from the grandstands into a weekly division.  Racers seem to have a tendency to escalate everything they get their hands onto and the track can play into this as well.  The simple reality is that high-end, expensive race cars do not, in a meaningful way, mean radically increased attendance.  As such divisions with increased costs are not able to support the increased payouts so often requested by drivers following the cost-escalation of a division.

Five years ago, the Bone Stock program was created as a reaction to division cost-escalation, in hopes of providing regular people with limited knowledge the opportunity to compete without a major investment and that they might, as time goes on, choose to join the higher-end high-quality racing of the Friday program.  To me, there has never been anything wrong with this goal.

i didnt say anything bad about the bone stocks..thats your baby,and thats good for the track brings new guys in ,but i think your losing the truck division,and i hope that doesnt happen,and that was the real point of the reply,good luck to bone stockers have fun,im sure ill be there watching as i support delly every week ,(except for 2 races on friday nights all year)

Count me in as one who was constantly bothered by the ride height nonsense.  Especially since we got the racetruck, legal for the previous season (with lower ride height) and could not, for the life of us, figure out how to get it sitting any HIGHER at the roof than we did!  And to all my knowledge, it's a stock body with stock mounts to the frame.

I understand we want them to still "be trucks" but the weight distribution and the big giant heavy bodies, and automatic trans, should be enough to separate them from other classes.  Insane ride height is unnecessary and makes it really hard to set up for.  As far as I'm concerned, go even lower!

Anyway, the main reason is still cost, the ride height rule was just one aspect of it.  I'm not gonna bitch and moan and rant, but plain and simple, we can't afford what it's costing to race every Friday, and racing Friday in itself is difficult to impossible because of work schedules too.  We'd be much more likely to make it out if we raced Saturdays.

Then again, the last poll Delaware sent out nixed that, so I'm in the minority.

We'll see how it goes over the winter.

I think they should lock the rules in for 3 years(in all classes)this works very well with the canadian vintage mods ,just saftey rules can be changed in those 3 years

Lol lock them in for 3 years???  delaware couldnt figure out how to lock them in for 3 weeks this season ...
