Fan appreciation and unfortunately a lack of courtesy

I just wanted to make a couple points here on the big show Saturday night.
First of all we need to light a fire under the asses of the fans!!! Come'on when they announced host sponsor of the race and the series for the trophy presentation I think the fans could do a lot better showing their appreciation. I was totally embarassed for the Keystone Light guy when he got nothing of a response for all their efforts. I'm not sure who was announcing but when he said "c'mon people its a beer company" you could see the pain! Everybody complains about the lack of corporate sponsors for these events, and how do the fans show their appreciation? they let the crickets do the cheering!! I think we need to make allot more noise for the sponsors out there.
On another note what is with all the pushing and shoving at the track access gate? After the race they need time to do presentations and photo ops for the winning teams and sponsors. All those rude fans and yes some racing teams mouthing off and swearing at the track officials is uncalled for. Especially since there was allot of young kids in front of the gate waiting QUIETLY. Then the pushing and shoving starts! Disgusting >:(
I think that little event was a blemish on what was really an outstanding effort on those involved with putting on a stellar night. And thanks for the fireworks!!!

And they wonder why motorsports in North America is in dire shape. Sponsors can easily so radio ads, or spend their money elsewhere. You can't say even NASCAR hasn't felt the pinch, and here we have a sponsor helping us out. IF they comeback, I doubt it will be with a full out gig like the last one.

Well, I cant speak about the lack of response for the advertiser. I heard the guy say "Hey its a beer sponsor" but I had no idea what led up to it. I know most people had one eye on the clouds and the other on their umbrellas and maybe weren't paying attention the way they might normally. Stuff happens.

Heh...I heard a few muttered comments while the guy was singing the anthems, stuff to the effect of "Geez, by the time this guy gets done it'll be raining" (This was a dude who really knew how to turn a 1 minute anthem into a 5 minute performance.  :o)

As far as the shoving at the gate....always has been and always will be. That's just part of being at Delaware.

He was making up his own lyrics a few times too I noticed.

Sorry I didn't get over to see you Saturday Shadow. I checked in on Richmond Row a couple times but didn't see your hat.

Lotta people remarked the ribs and ripped pork deals were excellent, I don't think you can complain about some of the great food at Delaware. The displays seemed active as well.
