Hi everyone. I'm looking for driver feedback from all weekly divisions here. I have the potential to bring a cash sponsor that is interested in funding Eliminator races for next year. It will be cash only, per race, no year end total. One 10 lap race per week rotating through divisions. What I would like to hear is what dollar value would be fair? Should it be the same for all divisions, or a sliding scale? ex. V8 Stocks $125, Trucks $150, SS $175 LM $200? I'm looking forward to your feedback!

Great news! Your scale I think would be more then fair. 50% to winner, 30% for second and 20% for third. Hopefully this comes about!

Is this the format where fast guys start at the back and as soon as you get passed you pull off the track? If so I used to love those races.....and trophy dashes.

That is the way I remember them Jay. Not so much at Delaware, although I do remember 1 or 2 events there, but Sunset used to run these quite often back in the day. It would be single file starts. The first few laps would be quite entertaining as the jockeying for position got underway and cars pulled off the track as they were passed then when there was about 5 or 6 cars left the dash for the cash was on. They would be relatively short races, 10 laps or so, and starting position would be determined by previous race results and season points, 1st is last. I just recently read an article about Flamboro making Biederman start all races from the back. He would get $10 for every car he passed if he won and $5 for every car he passed if he didn't win.

Thinking about it further...this would be a good format for the V8 stocks and truck combo races.

Sorry to hijack the thread truckguy.
